Thank you very much for your work and a great program. I am very interested (like SeeMoreDigital) why it doesn't work on our Panasonic Plasmas with SD slot

Some tome ago you said that you will make some investigation about this matter. I would like to ask - is there any success?

It would be very great information if we can use TV's SD slot to play every H264 video.

Greetings!

Peter

I tried loading in 1280x528 and 1920x784 mkv's and checking apply standard height. The result in a Panasonic DMP-BD30 and Magnavox NB500MG9 were black screens with audio.

Please repeat your tests with latest major ver 1.4 build (157):

****************

No green bar for PLAYSTATION(r)3 players for top of fourty (40) non-compliant MKV files.

So - you now have total of 40 titles, fourty of which (i.e. ALL) may be non-compliant.

I doubt anyone uses so many titles.

@espero: Yes, I will try to make it compatible with Panasonic TVs. It seems pannys don't like menus, nor any special programming inside movieobject.bdmv. I'll try to provide really stripped version and will post for both of you to test.

@deank, is this a bug?

if you uncheck "Create Top Menu", the titles play in sequence, but just the first time, after that only the first title play in a eternal loop: Title 1 -> Title 2 -> Title 3 -> Title 1 -> Title 1 -> Title 1...

Tested on PowerDVD 8 and PS3.

@SquallMX: I think it is fixed in build 159... just now.

@asherungar: Yes, top-aligned. It took me 20 hours to make it (and a second to come with the idea), so cut me some slack. I'm trying to make it vertically centered.

Would also be great play clip with the proper resolution (i.e. a clip 1280x532 is played at 720p and not at 576p)

I tried option for remove green bar and I notice that it works on USB pendrive, but doesn't on SD card. Not very important to me, I just wanted to let you know

[I apologize again for my bad English, I hope to be sufficiently clear]

Are you trying SD on a PS3? I'll test now - had no time to do it.

And about the 1280x532 clip - it is Playstation3 that ignores CLPI information. It first switches to 1080p, then goes to 720p then to 480p - at least my TV shows this while trying to play 1280x528.

---

Just tested PS3 playback via SD. It works!

If you are not using menu and your first title is non-compliant and you see a green bar - press [triangle] and navigate to "Go To" and select "Title#1".

I'm sorry, my mistake.
I solved with triangle on AVCHD icon -> Play from Beginning.
Perhaps PS3 had something in memory about previous test that I made with the same clip

Another broken thing fixed... Motion menu was broken - now all okay.

So all set now - PS3 plays 40 titles with subtitles and no green bar at the bottom.

Now (Build 166) the problem is diferent: Title 2 (PowerDVD Info says is Title 0, PS3 info says is Title "-/-") --> Title 3 --> Title 1 --> Title 1 --> Title 1...

Weird, .

@SquallMX: It is always better to use TOP menu (LITE) - it will cost you only 2MB. You can try with "Skip top menu playback".

@turbojet: I did a lot of changes last night - have no Idea what could the problem be. Does SAPs work with 1920x1080 and 1280x720 videos?

OK. I tested using the black m2ts you posted (.rar).
Using build 1.3, i did this:
1. add avchd folder containing the black video
2. add mkv with non-compliant resolution (1280x532). This mkv has .srt in it, so I check use subtltle. Just to make sure, I added external .srt, so the resulting video will have 2 subtitles - both are the same.
multiAVCHD created the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folder successfully.
Burnt with imgbrn, and it plays on my PS3. Static menu appeared, and choosing Title 1 made PS3 plays the video on Title 2 played without green bars. Instead, the video is aligned on top, and the bottom has black bar (YAYYY SUCCESS).
Opting the subtitles with PS3 menu, nothing appeared. So, there's still something I did wrong because both subtitle 1 (eng) and 2 (eng) do not show anything on screen.
Then I tested with build 1.4, and the calclib.dll gave out error. multiAVCHD quits. I'm using the NTSC Lite downloaded after I dowloaded build 1.4.
Any insinght?

cheers

Deank,
in v. 1.4 you have the option to force black fill in authoring tab. Do I need to put AVCHD folder with black video you posted for v.1.3 (the .rar file), when I use v. 1.4, or has the black fill included in the NTSC Lite package? Right now, I'm using v. 1.4, adding the AVCHD folder with black fill as Title 1, and also tick the force black fill in the authoring tab.
So, with v. 1.4 do I still need to add AVCHD folder with black video as Title 1?

No... It is included in 1.4. I think I fixed almost everything in build 170.

There were problems when (no top menu created).

And you don't need the AVCHD_BLACK folder anymore. It was just for test.

Wow, impressive work. It's been a long time since I'm looking for a solution to get rid of green bars on non standard resolution. I gave up and switched to a real time transcoding method (PMS).
I tested multiavchd, so great, so easy to set up. Congratulations.
The only problem (apart from vertical alignement) is this 480p (or 576p in pal) display. Any idea or way to fix and stick to 720p whith 1280x532 clip?

Many thx again and keep the impressive & good job.
