Thank you for this new release.
I am still getting the "- HAALI Splitter: Isn't recommended version" with this new release on my Win 7 Pro 32 bit OS.

I just tested it, and it's showing correctly on mine. Are you sure you have the right one?

[Edit] Hmm... it is showing incorrectly on my other system, though. Ugghhh....

Ok, I'll do some more testing. It must be something in the difference between 64 bit and 32 bit.

[Edit again] Yep. The size that I'm checking on the 32 bit system was the "size on disc" instead of the actual size. I've fixed it (again) for the next release.

No big deal, just wanted you to be aware. BD-RB is working perfectly for me as usual!

To clarify: I first got the message when I tried 38.02. When I saw the Changes.txt entry about subtitles for 38.05 I tried again and got the message again.

That fix was specifically related to this bug report.

Detected As:Bloodhound.Sonar.9

Hi,
I use the "Symantec Endpoint Protection" and in the last update "BD-RB v0.38.05 (beta) - BD-RBV03805.zip" i had the following issue:
the file "bd_rebuilder.exe", detected As:Bloodhound.Sonar.9.

That never happens in other versions.

Please advise.

Symantec does report a FALSE possitive on BDRebuilder you need to add it to your exceptions to get it to ignore BDRebuilder in the future scans.

As I've said before, sometimes the A/V software is as much of a pain as viruses themselves. "Heuristic detection" they call it. Hah!! That could just mean today is Tuesday.

Trend Micro Internet Security says it's ok.

I encrypt the EXE and prevent startup if it has been tampered with -- just to make sure no one ever attaches a virus to it. But sometimes the randomness of encryption can set off "heuristic scanners".

Rambo - First Blood

This is kinda strange! Downloaded and installed 38.05 and did a Movie Only - 25 backup of Rambo. It is pretty small and no re-encode was required. I have included all logs and ini files below. The process completed quickly with no errors. But...the movie is nothing but jumpy audio and video. I thought there might be a problem with the rip (even though it played with no problem.) So...ripped again and tried it again. Same exact problem. So...reverted to 38.04. Same results. Uninstalled and reinstalled everything. Same results with 38.05. Then, as a last resort, I forced a re-encode. Everything is just fine. Any ideas on this one? Why would a re-encode solve the problem?

@CV91913

What are you using for playback? My guess is that it isn't a standalone player. The only difference between the two ways of doing it would likely be the CODEC.

With the audio/video problems I did not burn to BD. I used MPC provided in your directory and Nero Cineplayer on two different PC's. One win7 64 and the other XP. Have done dozens of these smaller BD's that did not require re-encode and never saw that problem before. Nothing new installed on either computer (except Windows updates) in months. Oh well, as I said...I got it to make a good backup, just thought you might know what gives... Thanks

NORTON 360 "SONAR" DISABLES 38.05 Beta on WIN7

BUG - NEW 38.05 DETECTED AS A VIRUS

My Norton Premier 360 detected the NEW 38.05 release's BD_rebuilder.exe file as a HIGH threat and automatically DISABLED it. I'm using Windows 7 Home edition on that PC. Logging in as administrator didn't help. I installed 38.05 several times before I finally noticed the little Norton box flashing in the right corner. Sure enough, Norton had flagged the Bd_rebuilder.exe file as a HIGH THREAT VIRUS. Even after turning OFF the "Remove risks automaticaly" option in Norton360 Premier, it still kept distroying the BD.exe file.

I had to DISABLE the Norton Sonar function to make the NEW 38.05 BETA work.

I'm also using BD rebuilder (OLD release 38.04) on another computer with O/S "Win 7 Ultimate" with the SAME "NORTON 360 premier edition" with NO problems - so that leads me to think that only the NEW BD 38.05 BETA causes the "Premier Norton 360's" Sonar function to treat BD.exe files as a virus.

I'm sure there is a way to "just exclude BD_Rebuilder.exe" from Norton's new Sonar scan in the Premier edition, but I still need to figure out how. (Not as obvious as other Virus programs I've used)

I'll try to re-post later on how to do that.

Bug? Are you kidding me? Take your bitching to Norton, not to me. It's their software that is causing the problem. Sure, I'll recompile and reencrypt and it will probably go away -- but it's their software that is at fault, not mine. There's no virus involved here -- only sh*tty A/V detection.

Two other A/V packages (Trend Micro Titanium and McAfee) have verified that there is no virus.

I just recompiled into v0.38.06. Try downloading this one -- then let me know if your "wonderful" A/V detection software accepts it so I can update it in the first post.
