I got the 4 movies in a folder by.....

TMPGEnc DVD - I make my DVD's in VCD - have done for years and still do.
Apart from MPEG4/DIVX - cant beat the quality at which I make them for the size.
So as such I can rip a move to just over 1GB = 4 per DVD.
So I author 3-4 movies to a DVD using TMPGEnc DVD incl chapters etc.

That folder simply contains a copy of the DVD - sort of along the lines I visualised me doing the process on my HTPC but on the 1TB disk.
Stash all the copied DVD's in their separate folders and then setting up a web paged (or similar) shortcut page.

Ummm...congratulations?

Personally I don't like such a crappy resolution...the lack of detail is very annoying.

If this is for computer playback (sounds like it) I don't understand why you wouldn't use XviD. Much better resolution.
