Terrific! I always thought the BeSweet GUI was a mess, anyway.

Would it be possible to to show the command line, ala the original GUI? It would be nice to be able to copy and the command line ... to show people "hey, here's how I did so and so ..."

I also always wanted to be able to put my cursor in the command line box and make manual changes. Would that be possible?

Of course, maybe that wouldn't so much "BeLight" as it would "BeComplicated."

Nice work!

Did this work for you? I would prefer using SSRC to keep 44Khz but it doesnt have any affect. I guess thats why I've always resorted to the LAME --resample command, it keeps 44Khz even with low bitrates.

Yes it works for me. I tested with different samples (48 kHz to 44,1 KHz). But I can active --resample command as you want.

@absinthe :: about your suggestion, yes as I already said before, it's on my todo list.

I greatly appreciate your effort. If you try a sample with alt-abr 80 using SSRC it stays at 44khz? I think LAME overrides SSRC and uses 32khz, unless you use --resample. 32khz audio causes sync issues with some standalone players unfortunately.

Can BeSweet downmix '2 channel mono ac3' and output mono Vorbis (and maybe HE-AAC too)? I've never been able to get this to work with existing GUI's (either the standard BeSweet GUI or Oagmachine).

The only way I've been able to get true Mono Vorbis is to demux the AC3 to WAV from the vobs with DGindex, and then use OggDropXPD, which has a setting to downmix and does produce true 1 channel output, so you really do only need 1/2 the bitrate. Every other tool I've used that can either work with demuxed AC3 or directly with VOBS can only produce Stereo, even if the source is mono but stored in 2 channel (ie the way most oldies from the 50's and 60's are).

Obviously you can't implement the feature if BeSweet itself doesn't support it, but here's hoping it does and none of the GUI's before ever picked it up. Same would go for HE-AAC, although I've not investigated BeSweet's capability so far as Vorbis on that yet.

IT´s a GUI for besweet (not more or less) so if besweet supports AC3 BeLight does it also

For AAC output, there is an option "Downmix to mono".
For Vorbis output, we can't produce mono files with BeSweet. Maybe with the help of Azid options. I'll check it.

I can confirm that this is the normal behaviour of Lame.
If you do not want it to resample, you have to use --resample xxx with xxx beeing your sampling freq.

You must have installed Nero to use AAC Encoder...Just put aacenc32.dll and aac.dll in BeSweet folder. Then everything will be ok.

Quote:
Added: Loading & Saving your own Settings.
Added : detection of the Nero dll in BeLight folder.
Fixed : --resample Lame function.
Note:
1°) There is a Settings folder now...So, the right thing can be to copy all the BeSweet folder (exe + dll) into BeLight directory.
2°) I included also the file to make the translation.

Hi --

Some nice improvements in .18.

Text fixed in main window, but the end of several lines of text are still missing in the advanced settings window.

Main window size better now, although it's still a bit too tall for 1024x768 screens -- everything below the bottom edge of the word "Start" on the start button is cut off.

You may also consider adding a "Save As" option for settings, in order to create multiple ini files containing configurations for various purposes.

Best regards.
