www.avisynth.org - mirrors?

Hi all,

It's very difficult to access the site from Portugal, @work or @home.
Are there any mirrors? I think some are needed, given that it is a repository for documentation, plugins and soon (I hope ) for guides.

Good timing -- now that I'm back, the new server should be up in a couple days.

File-serving, yes?

btw, your choice of Wiki was spot on. At first I had my (silent) doubts, but I must say I was wrong - it's an amazing thing. Hope more people will start adding their tips, guides and hints too!

Would be really great to upload filters to one common place...

@WarpEnterprises

Isn't the ability to edit the wiki and just insert a hyperlink to wherever a filter is stored, the most flexible solution.

It ensures that uses can get the most uptodate filter version without authors duplicating uploads.

If any authors are a "slow" to add their filter to the wiki, then enthusiastic users can do it instead

If anyone doesn't have their own web space - I'm fairly certain Donald would host it for them.

regards
Simon

I generally agree, but the webpages of the autors may change, be not available,... (as is still the case with some VD filters)

Just a little easier for users.

Good point

But I don't think a lot of authors will be keen to upload twice

There aren't so many...

Btw, does someone now if it would be legally correct to host such a plugin without permission of the author?

If they are GPL, absolutely. Nevertheless, it never hurts to get permission.
