Nero Recode crashes

Nero Recode crashes. I've tried few times to encode 95 Gb AVI (Lagarith Lossless video codec) and when there is second pass, Nero Recode crashes. The resolution is 1280x720 - it's deinterlaced and resized HDV video.

I use HDTV AVC profile, standard settings (High Quality Encoding 2 Pass, Automatic Sharp).

I've setup update, but it still crashes. How can I fix it?

afaik nero uses an own avi parser, propably it isnt able to handle such a big avi (isnt avi limited to 4gb?)

you can try to play your avi with the nerodigital parser and the lagarith decoder in graphedit and check if it works

I've tried to watch video with Nero ShowTime 2 and it plays ok. I think Nero Recode and Nero ShowTime 2 use same parsers and decoders...

Also, first pass is always ok... And Recode crashes in different places. In begin of movie, in the center of movie etc.

Alexy - How about feeding Nero Recode an AVS file instead ? It was nice of the Ahead people to offer AviSynth support.

When I use AVS with HDTV AVC video, I get huge audio sync problem (there is topic about this - nobody knows how to resolve this problem...).

It seems the problem is not in 92 Gb AVI. I've tried to encode simple HDV .m2t file with recode and it crashes at 2nd pass too. But few days ago encoded this .m2t files - and that was ok.

What's wrong? What can make Recode crash?

I had one lagarith loseless source. I encoded it separatly video (AVS script) and audio. Then muxed it via mp4box or creator. It works like sharm .
So easy.

Is this HDTV source? Cause I always have audio sync problems when I use this method (Mp4Box). But with SD video it's ok.
