NuEnc X-Pass Test at www.cydvd.tk

I did a big test in Multipass with Peter's new NuEnc.

Click here to visit my page and read the test.

I used the chapter 29 of the film Matrix to run the test.

Settings:

AVG.Bit.: 3550
Max.Bit.: 7500
FreeEnc+CCE: CyMAT 2.0 EX
NuEnc: QLB Matrix

It was realy new to see libavcodec run in multipass beyond 2 Pass.
Strange this resulted. I did 1-6 Pass in NuEnc. 2-3 Pass + 6 Pass in CCE SP 2.67.00.27 and 1+2 Pass in FreeEnc.

Read the Test and tell me what You think of it.

what average bitrate was achieved for each ?

These results outline a problem with the ratecontrol. Instead of increasing the quant to prevent huge spikes, the quant seems to be lowered...The quants should be also be flatter...That gives me something to do.

Did you use the QLB matrix in CCE? (This is important for a fair comparison).
