Ok I tested your structure ... it works ... perhaps it is because you did not use a menu. When I build an AVCHD structure I implemented a menu, then PS3 couldn´t turn from 1080p24 (menu) to 720p (film).

I am uploading a menu based AVCHD structure

Yesterday I changed an option in Playstation3 Settings. There was something about 24/film

BD/DVD Cinema Conversion

BD 1080p 24 Hz Output (HDMI)

I'll try with a menu.

p.s. And the menu should be 1080i @25 for pal or @~30 for ntsc

Well it plays but PS3 does weird things... 200-300ms video at start and then it goes crazy switching video modes and my AV receiver also goes crazy.

But I think it is not the menu that causes the problem. Can you author AVCHD without a menu (as I did) and try?

I'll test with a menu a bit later and will post a link with the output.

Yes, with menu it goes wild - I just tested... But playing directly the mts file from XMB works. That's weird - really really weird.

It may be the AVCHD format problem. I can't test with Blu-ray disk (BD-R/BD-RE) to check if it will produce the same result.

Congrats for over 500 builds. Amazing work.

I wonder if this would be possible. After clicking on the avhd/bdmv folder button, would it be possible to use shift to select multiple bdmv folders that are in the same folder. It would save having to do press the button and go to the parent folder each time.

The program tool I'm using doesn't allow multiple folder selection (not that I know of any FOLDER BROWSE box that allows it).

You can put all desired folders in one folder (if you don't need to edit their contents). This worked for the last 50-100 builds and thanks for the testing and support.

The other day I was thinking of my own implementation of add-files/add-folders win-controls and may be I will do it in next (3.0) version.

Yes, it is not bitrate problem. There is something else and I've never seen such behavior as with your sample+menu.

I'll test tomorrow with the same sample.

After all, multiAVCHD was not supposed to be a coversion tool

I never would expect multiAVCHD to become an encoder tool.

I love the fact, that it let´s me author my original HDV footage. I also can author h.264 1080p footage: perfect. That it let´s me author my heroes and lost mkv´s is just a bonus for me.
For me it doesn´t matter if it processes AppleTV file as those mp4 are playable and streamable perfectly on PS3 without any AVCHD strucuture.

Another test with the appletv sample - if I use NTSC menu - it works. The sound is almost okay.

NTSC ... that´s it ... the primary source was in fact NTSC ....
The sound from original file was already choppy.
This evening I will keep on doing tests with those 720p30 and 720p60 files from Aiptek Cam ... this time of course with NTSC option in multiAVCHD.

In build 510:

Non-HD audio to AC3 bitrate [384]

option in Audio / Subtitles tab.

The value will be used for all non-hd (ie for all except TrueHD/DTS-MA/HRA) audio conversions - AAC, OGG/VORBIS, MP2, MP3, PCM.

Also uncropMKV and multiUPDATE are updated

Dean.

Hi deank,

just did a fresh install of Build 510. When I tried to process a MKV into a BD structure, multiAVCHD gave me a red error line in its log window:

"tsmuxer didn't like MKV file. Aborting..."

Strangely enough, I didn't receive any error from tsmuxer when I used tsmuxer GUI... everything completed ok!

What's wrong here...?

Best,

Gero

Can you post your log, along with the version of tsmuxer you used? Also you can post mediainfo for your mkv file. What type is the audio in the mkv?

Make sure you use 'verbose logging' in multiAVCHD if you're going to post your log.

Easy question.(I can't find a clear answer in this post)

Whenever I want to make a DVD or BD to play on my standalone bluray...Should I choose "Create multiBD"?

Thanks.

Hi deank,

it gets even stranger... when I turn on "Verbose logging", I receive the following error message box (also see attachment):

"(RT) floating point division by zero - Line 5784"

I verified it - this error message does not appear if I switch off "Verbose logging". Then, the red error line about tsmuxer that does not like my MKV appears (like I stated in my last post).

The log is even shorter if "verbose logging" is turned on. Here's the error log with "verbose logging" turned off:

Code:
[18:18:30] Log started for multiAVCHD v2.5 (build 510)
[18:18:30] Processing 1 input file/folder.
[18:18:30] Converting mkv/mp4 file to AVCHD (C:\Users\Gero\Desktop\mada2neuer.mkv).
[18:18:32] Using original chapters.
[18:18:32] Creating BluRay folders (tsMuxer)...
[18:18:32] Done!
The tsmuxer (GUI) version that I used (that completes without any error) is 1.9.1

Maybe this all has something to do with the fact that the MKV has chapters? I have checked "Keep original chapters" within multiAVCHD...

Anyway, here's the MediaInfo of my MKV. One AVC video track, two AC3 tracks plus a SRT track. Pretty much standard, I'd say...

Code:

Line 5784 in multiAVCHD is
Code:
print("["&time.DS&"] ", vcs('Detected frame reference count: '&refcount&' (max:'&int(12288*1024/(vw*vh*1.5))&').',clGreen,''));
Which means that vw (video width) or vh (video height) are not detected properly (and are set to zero) by mediainfo so it errors with div/0.

In multiAVCHD package is included tsmuxer 1.8.34. Replace it with the newest one and if it works let me know... I doubt that it will but... anyway...

I don't think chapters are the problem but if there is any way to send me a sample of the file - please do.
