The problem with DT and PowerDVD is that it emulates a CD-ROM disc for any ISO images < 1GB in size, a DVD-ROM for anything <= DVD9 size (4169920 sectors) and BD-R for anything bigger than that.

PowerDVD (and ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre 3) will not play BD / AVCHD content from anything looking like a DVD-ROM.

Virtual CloneDrive has the advantage here in that it actually parses the image file (at least in the newer beta versions) and will mount an image (of any size) with a BDAV/BDMV folder in the root as a BD-R. That's why it works and DT doesn't.

Thanks!

I have a question about ImgBurn. multiAVCHD uses .ibb to call ImgBurn after a compilation is finished. Can I put something in it to prevent ImgBurn of altering the folders (such as CERTIFICATE, etc...)?

Dean

hey, i just made a compilation of a 7 videos and XMB menu.
everything went fine except the first video.
his menu page looks like a Thumbnail Menu page with that default background and a title stating "Multiavchd custom Menu"
if i press down or up i can see that all the other videos and their pages are fine, and also an arrow is visible in the middle of that Thumbnail Menu page and the video works if i click it.
however this brings me to the second problem...i used the "Change first SRT line timing" and what i got was
[14:59:30] First subtitle time changed to (00:00:01,295 --> 00:00:00.000) result in only the first line of text from that SRT visible through the entire video, however all the other subs are fine.
the only second error i could find was [15:04:13] Chapter mark out of boundaries (00:00:01)! Last mark set to 0!
all the rest of the log seems fine with no error.

I hope that all the info needed

@zoner: can you execute multiUPDATE and try with that faulty title again?

I fixed the SRT problem if end-time is also 00:00:00,000 but I'd like to know if the problem with the chapter and the menu page is fixed.

Please post the multiAVCHD log of your second movie (with 3 video tracks) when you're done with it. Thanks.
If this option is unchecked, Audio is according my LANGUAGE prefs and SUBTITLES too. Perfect. It's like TSMuxer and MKV2VOB now, thx.

By the way, some movies like mine contains 2 FRENCH audio tracks. The first is normal, the second is FORCED. Is it possible to force to display the FORCED one in AVCHD mode automatically when FRENCH language is selected just like in Blu-ray mode ????

When you post your log, please use [ code ] [ / code ] tags, not the quote ones..

I don't think I can make what you're asking about the forced subs/audio.

Also - please update to 527.

Hmm not really, no.

There are 2 settings for that but they're not part of the IBB stuff.

I assume you're really talking about having ImgBurn not prompt to a include the (existing) CERTIFICATE folder which has been left out on purpose (probably for compatibility reasons) and not to make an empty one either?

The .ibb I pass to ImgBurn has:

[START_BACKUP_LIST]
new_path & BDMV\
new_path & CERTIFICATE\
[END_BACKUP_LIST]

or

[START_BACKUP_LIST]
new_path & BDMV\
[END_BACKUP_LIST]

and I'd expect to have only BDMV in the second case.

The reason I was asking about it is that CERTIFICATE folder has no place in AVCHD structures and may confuse many players, which otherwise would play the content. It is not like the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS for DVDs.

Different players have different logic on determining content and it is:

1) Some players will first check the media (DVD or BD-R) and act accordingly (DVD - AVCHD - no CERTIFICATE)
2) Other players will check folders first and if CERTIFICATE/AUXDATA are present will treat it as BD-R
3) other won't care at all and will ignore media and folders but will care only for BDMV/CLIPINF/PLAYLIST.

I can add another cli parameter to disable it prompting to add an existing one / adding an empty one automatically.

Okay... I'd then switch to ImgBurn CLI, instead of .ibb... I just thought that it is better to use .ibb's.

By passing the IBB file as a parameter, you're technically already using CLI! ImgBurn just translates that parameter (if it's the only one) internally to /SRC "parameter" and sets the mode accordingly (ibb = build, image files = write).

Now you'll have to use something like:

ImgBurn.exe /MODE BUILD /SRC "[ibb file name]" /CERTIFICATEFOLDER NO

Please note that '/CERTIFICATEFOLDER NO' will not prevent it from adding one to the disc if it is actually present in the Source box.

In build 527 (you may need to update manually with multiUPDATE.exe):

* Changed: Title font color is now 100% opaque (60% in previous builds)
* Changed: Title font outline is now 100% opaque (60% in previous builds)
* Added: tsMuxeR functionality check on load (for mpls file import only)
* Fixed: unnecessary parsing of missing CERTIFICATE to ImgBurn if "Strict AVCHD mode" is enabled for [AVCHD to DVD/BD-R]
* Major fix: Problems may arise if more than 10 audio or 10 subtitle tracks are present in output compilation or in input AVCHD folders
* Fixed: Problems with some menu pages when chapter-errors occur and bare "multiavchd custom menu" page is shown with navigation arrows
* Fixed: When loading mpls file with multiple VIDEO tracks - only primary video track (id 4113/0x1011) will be used

Hi Dean,

I have just done a full install of the latest multiAVCHD version and have run multiupdate afterwards and updated to build 527. I then updated tsmuxer within the "tools" folder to the latest version (1.9.9).

Still, I receive the following lines in the log window everytime when starting multiAVCHD:

Code:
[00:53:35] tsMuxeR not responding properly!
[00:53:35] MPLS file import will not work.
What's wrong here?

Thanks for your help,

Gero

It means that "cmd.exe /c tsmuxer.exe > tslogfile.txt" command is not working... It is used only when importing blu-ray playlists. Until roman makes tsmuxer to output a log file it will be that way.... you can also try to make a copy of cmd.exe to multiAVCHD folder to check if it will work.

Full downloads (and .exe only) for:

* multiAVCHD (build 528) (includes latest popBD and uncropMKV)
* popBD ver 0.6
* uncropMKV ver 0.6

are updated.

Check the links in the first page of each thread. multiAVCHD and popBD include tsMuxer 1.9.9.

***

Also in build 528 [x] Force subtitle track#1 won't affect audio streams anymore.

Should every player that plays without a menu also support with a menu?

I think so. Exception may be players with profile 3, which are not bound to show menu:

Quote:
Functions of BD-ROM Profile 3 Players
Required functions of the BD-ROM Players which complies with BD-ROM Profile 3 are the same as
for the BD-ROM Players which complies with BD-ROM Profile 1 and BD-ROM Profile 2, except that
• Only the following user operations are mandatory for the BD-ROM Players which complies with
BD-ROM Profile 3:
􀂅 Skip to Next Point() UO
􀂅 Skip Back to Previous Point()UO
􀂅 Play FirstPlay() UO
􀂅 Stop() UO
􀂅 Still Off() UO
• Output of video and graphics data is not available. However, decoding of the Interactive
Graphics stream still needs to be supported, so that that buttons which activate automatically
(without requiring the Activate Button user operation) will still activate automatically, and so that
any button related user operations that are supported by the BD-ROM Player are correctly
handled.
• BD-J is not applicable.
• Player function of Browsable slideshow is not applicable.
• Player function of Audio mixing model is not applicable.
• Player function of Binding Unit manifest file is not applicable.
• Player function of Local storage and Virtual File System is not applicable.

@deank:
I've tested multiAVCHD 527 yesterday evening (with tsMuxer 1.9.9). Unfortunately it did not solve my problem with the black 480i/MPEG2 title.
I've also moved the slider for encoded menu frames to the far right, and this actually made the problem with menu navigation worse. Now I can't navigate any longer after I first switched title in menu (i.e. move one title down).

@LightningUK:
Can you give me a hint where to find documentation about .MDS files? I am thinking of manipulating the virtual size of an image in order to force DT to emulate a BD - this would speed up testing a lot. A mount option for DT would be preferable, but I am always open to hacks, if they work.

Hello Dean,

1. I have updated the Language File to the latest changes.

http://rapidshare.com/files/22242146...G_deu.txt.html

2. However, there is a quite little and mostly insignificant bug in the "Abort compilation" routine which only terminates the currently running operation and not aborting the whole process. After trying to abort, subsequent batch processes continue until finished.

Please update again with multiUPDATE.exe and try with this 480i file. I did some changes and it should work.
