Can i have the log. Use the debug screen - point to the working dir eg c:\nm4u\nemo, and let it zip up all the files i need.

The log and IFOs are the most important

thanks

Missing .M2V files

When trying to import script made b y numenu into Scenarist, it can't compile it cuz whatever CCE encoded (not everything but most) is not in "new_m2v" folder. That's with Star Wars IV A New Hope DVD

I just copied Van Helsing (Zone 2). And all went perfect.

The Menu is "Progressive" according to my eyes. But DVD2AVI (aka DGIndex) say it's "interlaced".
This happend really often with Zone 2 DVD.

So is their a way to tell NuMenu to use progressive settings, for CCE, even if DVD2AVi report interlaced ? (I know you can choose "verify script". But I mean automated).

I know there's a way to choose Scan = Zig-Zag (choose "field order"=TFF). But I think their's nothing to do the same for "progressive frame flag"

Alright. I'll try running it again on Finding Nemo as well as some other movies that have huge Menu's that I've always had issues with earlier.

*EDIT: Sent you the zip Zeul*

"Walking Tall" Scenrist error

I tried backing up "Walking Tall" today, and I had these Scenarist errors from doing the menu by numenu RC3

I would suggest using the debug utility that Zeul added into numenu which will send him all the info he needs to troubleshoot the problem

I tired using debug thingy, but it said max file sizew exceeded and the zip file just had all the .txt files from my C: drive and none from the DVD i was working on. What files do you need?

sounds like you didn't pick your working directory

make sure in there to choose your numenu working dir so it scanned c:\

Select directory in numenu4u or debug e-mail facility?

I did select the right directory in debug e-mail facility, but left the numenu4u at default.

i actually have a similar issue, in my main screen i select the dvd i'm working on and in the debug screen i select the working directory but i always end up with a zip file containing a scan of my c: drive.

Zeul, I e-mailed the files to you. I zipped the working dir by myself and deleted video and audio files. Let me know if this will do

Finally a new release

15/10/04 NuMenu4u RC2 Build 4

Bug Fixes:

Alteration to the sub starttime - occasional button not compiled
Variety of bug fixes to correct copying files when dif4u threshold is higher
When called from dif4u the first drive that had a valid dvd structure would be used , not the intended drive
Settings now saved again
Some changes to stop overflow error
Major change to the AVS script editor. many of the parameters were never passed into the NTSC scripts,
Deinterlacing now provides the correct scripts
Major fix to the passing of the encoded m2v files into the NEW_M2V folder for scenarist.
Major fix to a dumb error that wouldn't allow any menu PGCs to be created in non-processed VTSs - this would cause a variety of scenarist compile errors if VIDEO_TS.VOB was being processed
Fix to scanning for dummy cells - where cell demux needs to be invoked first

Enhancements:

A new special script for PAL deinterlacing should now be used - I have not included any particular script for this - use your own
Added ability to specify whether the menus are progressive or interlaced by default (in the Quality settings) NB see the note!
New installer that will remove previous version and ALL settings if wanted - Recommended

As a footnote; I have extensively tested the debug screen with the working directory in a variety of places and with different filenames inc spaces, and everytime I have success. To recap the menu in the main screen should be the one presently being worked upon. Then press the 'select working directory' button in the debug screen and select the full path to your directory, so if the VIDEO_TS folder inside the working dir had this path c:\ZeulTest\Test\VIDEO_TS then you would select c:\ZeulTest\Test as the working directory. For clarification the path chosen is now displayed in the working directory field.

Just did the "Walking Tall" menu and it was completed successfully. I will report back if it works correctly in DVD player.

PS. WHere can I donate for numenu4u?

Feature request

I would like to be able to select priority on the whole process so it doesn't clog up my PC so much.

Is it ok to do something on the computer while Numenu4u runs or should I just get away from PC while numenu4u works?

Another thing, should I turn off screensaver while running numenu4u?

RC2 Build 4 worked just fine on Finding Nemo now. Going to try it on T2:Extreme Edition and Rocky Horror Picture Show's large menu's.
Thanks again Zuel.

I just finished the DVD BONUS of Van Helsing.
All works perfectly.

My deiterlace script was correctly used, and the new setting "progressive/interlaced" for CCE is excellent for PAL dvds.

(I must add that I have changed to scenarist 2.7.Beccause I read that to many had problems with version 3.0 with Scenaid, Numenu, etc.. )

So I had no scenarist error either.

Thanks a lot for this new build.
