Hi Big Vern, what do you understand by "Low Bitrate"? Anything below 3500 kbps or even lower? First of all do not overestimate the influence of a Custom Quant Matrix for an encoder which uses the exponential quantizer scale (like HCenc). So called low bitrate matrices basically have a LowPass effect on the encode. The two matrices you mention are on opposite sides of the spectrum. Fox1 is definitely not for low bitrate encodes, it is one of the most bitrate eating matrices. Avamat7 is well suited for low bitrates. The latest AVStoDVD Alpha has an "automatic" setting for the HCenc matrices. It uses Avamat7 for bitrates below 2500 and the MPEG Standard matrix for higher bitrates. You really should do a couple of test encodes using different matrices and analyze the differences. Other settings I would recommend for low bitrates are HCenc 2-pass, profile best, and slightly raised values for AQ and LumGain (I use values of 2 for both). Or you could try my FF_VBR plugin which allows to use ffmpeg 2-pass VBR with high quality parameters for bitrates below 3500 kbps. Fishman0919 believes that the quality is better than for HCenc (I do not really have an opinion...) See this post: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...80#post1651880 Cheers manolito |

Muxman Parameter Window
First I want to thank _MrC_, manolito, and others for their help.
I could never have figured out a2v (or most of it) by myself. When I select Advanced Project Settings and tick "Edit Encoder Command Parameters at runtime" all is well until near the end of the encoding when the final Window pops up with the Muxman parameters window on top of it. If I click the red X, Muxman starts and finishes the project. This really isn't a big deal, but do I have something selected to cause it? Thanks again for your help. adam933 |

Hi adam933,
yes, I agree, the MuxMan parameter window is certainly not an encoder window, and IMO it is not very useful to be able to edit the MuxMan parameters at runtime. And it certainly gets in the way with unattended conversions. Maybe a timeout which closes this window automatically after 30 secs or 1 min? Cheers manolito |

Hi MrC. Thanks for the update.
A little 'annoyance fix' request if it is even possible. I have noticed that each time you select the ISO output and the ISO optimised setting is not present in imgburn (for example, you burnt a couple of divx vids, random files etc) on a DVD. Imgburn waits for user to change to the proper setting for outputing the ISO file. Is it not possible to do this via a command line paramter? |

Thanks MrC for the new stable version. Works well...
@ SuLyMaN What exactly did you change in the IMGBurn options to burn other stuff? File system options? The only additional command line parameters which should maybe added to AVStoDVD are these IMO: Quote:

Oh I don't change anything myw. I go with imgburn recommendation. Each time I burn a type of dvd /cd, it keeps the last used setting. So everytime I use Avs2dvd and the last used setting is not the one used for outputting ISO, I get an imgburn pop-up waiting for user input.

If he thinks it is a worthwhile request that is :P. Also, Imgburn could be bundled in the installer? Or he needs permission to that. The imgburn software needs only the imgburn.exe file to work properly. |

@SuLyMaN
these are the common switches that A2D uses to create the ISO file: /mode isobuild /buildmode imagefile /src "D:\Movies\DVD\DVD\VIDEO_TS" /dest "D:\Movies\DVD\DVD.iso" /volumelabel "DVD" /overwrite yes /noimagedetails /start /close in addition to manolito' suggestion, what other ImgBurn settings are you using to be changed by A2D? I cannot bundle ImgBurn to A2D package because Lightning UK (the author) did not give me the permission. Bye |

Hi MrC. Thanks for the reply. I do not use any settings in particular. It's just that IMGBURN is my DVD burning software and when I do some type of CD/DVD (data, divx, etc) it saves the setting. If I use A2D after, it will not auto continue when the time comes to launch IMGBURN. Instead, there is a prompt to change settings and the prompt waits for user input to continue. I would guess that IMGBURN does not execute the command right away but awaits user confirmation ....

@SuLyMaN
could you post a screenshot of ImgBurn message? Which ImgBurn release are you using? I use it too for many purposes (audio CD, data CD/DVD, etc.) but I do not change any settings at all, hence I cannot replicate the issue. Bye |

First picture of me changing the settings in imgburn.....
http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5...20IMG%2001.png Second picture of imgburn asking confirmation to change setting after A2D has finalised video conversion to convert output to ISO. http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5...20IMG%2002.png Did a 3rd time with the ISO setting saved. Output was done automatically. Last edited by SuLyMaN; 29th June 2015 at 18:24. |

If you cannot wait for the updated A2D version, I could hack the call to IMGBurn.exe and add these paramters. (I have become some kind of a specialist for hijacking A2D helper tools. So far I hacked Wavi, FFMpeg and AVSMeter already... ) Cheers manolito //EDIT// OK, this was quick and painless... 1. Download this file: http://www69.zippyshare.com/v/bXlpP9Dm/file.html 2. In your ImgBurn folder rename ImgBurn.exe to _ImgBurn.exe (Do not change this name to something else) 3. Extract imgburn.exe from the downloaded archive into the ImgBurn folder 4. Enjoy...
