Problem still is I got no idea why eedi3.dll can't be loaded on your system.
Working on something else atm. but if I find the time I'll setup and upload a standalone portable version of Hybrid and send you a link (in an hour or two) |

I un installed the various ms visual updates... & went thru them 1 by 1.
I solved the eedi3.dll error, the 2005 ms visual studio update stops it error there. I'm not sure what the 2008 ms visual studio does (if it's even relevant, although both 2008 & 2005 mentioned in the previously linked thread). So the 2005 update solves the eedi3.dll from failing to load, but i now get an error saying "can't load SSE2Tools.dll" error=0x7e Can I ask exactly what versions of the ms visual redistritable you've got on you PC?, or anything else that windows maybe relying on to correctly do what we need it to.? Thanks. Merry Christmas Sent from my Galaxy S II using tapatalk |

+ the main question is: "What is causing the problem on your machine?" since you are the only user ever to report this, something on your system must be different to normal installations. (and taking my system as a starting point doesn't seem like a good idea ) -> did you do any uncommon modifications to you system e.g. stop some services? |

small heads-up: my windows 8 laptop has the same problem
Don't know what's the problem, but at least now I can also try to figure out what's causing this. using http://www.dependencywalker.com/ I got the info: 1. eedi3.dll needs a vcomp.dll 2. SSE2Tools.dll needs MSVCR71.dll -> can be fixed by putting msvcr71.dll into the avisynthplugins folder Last edited by Selur; 28th December 2012 at 19:47. |

-> to resolve the SSE2Tools.dll loading, it's enough to copy msvcr71.dll into the avisynthplugins folder to fix the eedi3.dll loading only installing Visual Studio 2005 runtime + Visual Studio 2005 runtime SP1 seems to fix the issue :/ Last edited by Selur; 29th December 2012 at 07:19. |

SEt posted an eedi3.dll which doesn't require vcomp.dll -> simply replace the eedi3.dll in the avisynthextension with the new one and it should work.
-> updated the avisynth extension to include the new eedi3.dll and msvcr71.dll Last edited by Selur; 29th December 2012 at 15:54. |

selur,
in your last testing version, audio language tags are lost. Previously, when I added audio language tags, when I wanted to select a language, I could see the language tag I wanted to select. With last testing version, I just see audio track numbers, but not the language tag. |

can't really follow you.
a. what version are you using? (latest testing is 2012.12.29.1) b. what are you doing? I just tested: 1. start hybrid 2. load file 3. activate tagging 4. and under Tag->Audiostream tagging I can select the audio stream and the language without a problem Under Main->Audio and Audio->Main->Track you can either see just 'Track number' or 'Track number - language' depending if the source had language infos for the streams. |

I'm using 2012.12.24.1, last version you sent me link to. There's nothing wrong with Hybrid GUI, I see audio tracks correctly, and I apparently tag audio correctly. BUT, when I play the encoded mp4 file with VLC, or see properties in MediaInfo, it just shows audio track numbers, and not language, as it used in mp4 encoded with previous Hybrid versions. I hope I explained myself better now. It it's still confusing, I may upload a mp4. |

ok...
If i have an input with multi-audio tracks, & wish to passthru the last track & ingnore 1st stream (i. e: french maybe the 1st,English 2nd)...i see i can 'passthru all'. could there be a selection when passthru (audio handling) is able to specify wich track to passthru, or both? cheers. If you want to passthrough all audio streams except a specific one the quickest way would be to: load source with Audio handling set to passthrough all, then switch Audio handling to Custom and remove the one audio track you don't want.
If you want to passthrough an audio track with a specific language and no others, the quickest way would be to set Config->Automation->On Load->Select audio with language and Main->Audio handling->Custom, than load your source and press the '+' in the audio tab. If you want to only add stream x and y the quicktest way would probably be to set Main->Audio handling->Custom and add the streams manually. Hybrid does not have some additional logic language that allows you to specify to only add e.g. "the third audio only if the 1st one is french and only add the first one if it's chinese". Cu Selur |
