Zoom player and BIG 1080P mkv
Hi,
I apologize if this is not posted in the right group. But its sort of an Software yet, codec question. All these years i have been using Zoom player, smacked on ffdshow, and ejoyed bliss.. Then came some more advanced files with DTS, vbr etc. etc. So nowdays, I fiddle between dscaler, for vid and audio, as well as Coreavc, and i notice, damn.. i am starting all over And today I have the option of using EVR instead of "overlay mixer" the other options give me judder headache. I dont notice any problems om my quad rig. But on my htpcs, (i got an ion330 and a Fuj Siemens dualcore) I suddenly started noticing jerks here and there... Yes i am a bit picky, but when i use ffdshow in zoomplayer, only 25% of the cpu is being used (Coreavc, is up to 50%). So i understand ppl have different setups, prefs etc. But shouldnt there be a pretty "standard" setup for best use of resources? So my question is, what settings do you guys use to play these 13 gb+ 1080P files? I will gladly share any experience, and hope again i posted in the right place Feel free to comment! |
