Resize webcam AR on fly?

Hi, all the webcams like https://www.skylinewebcams.com/it/we...o-ariston.html
offers to us the **original** stream 5:4 (!), but this is not good. Our player is 16:9 and stop. Instead our browser (even mine too, very old!) is able to resize (rescale?) on fly without vertical distorsions (i.e. the usual 5:4 forced into a 16:0 window!). Can you do this too? can you suggest to me how/what to do this in real time (background and misterious) task?
If I give you the original m3u8 (but you can simply obtain it via browser web console > stream > media) will I be able to download or to watch in real time the cam via a stream tester...without the usual unacceptable terrific vertical stretching? thanks a lot. best regards,

PS: no idea if the above task is made by skyline dev. or by our browser, anyway it is possible, because via browser all looks fine.
