mplayer vs jahplayer
Hi,
I was looking for a simple player but yet powerful that could run on both Mac and Windows and I just found jahplayer. Does anybody know about it? How will you compare it to mplayer? Thanks, - Dan Last edited by Razorholt; 24th November 2006 at 03:44. Reason: typo yahplayer -> jahplayer |

Hi Siber,
Sorry, my bad. It's JAHPLAYER ... http://www.jahshaka.org/ VLC is not stable enough and quite "heavy". The handshake between our script and VLC is not 100% efficient and this is due to VLC. I'm currently trying to use mplayer instead but it's not working on all the Mac OS Thanks, - Dan |

I gave jahplayer a small review in this other recent thread :
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=119098 Basically I think it's crap. Mplayer + MPUI on windows has very nice and simple UI. There are some things I'd do differently if the UI was up to me , but overall it's very good. I haven't tried mplayer on a mac. |
