using tmpgenc's noise reduction with avi's

I've recently been playing around with virtualdub noise reduction filters, but haven't been able to come up with any settings/combinations i'm completley happy with. Today i decided to frameserve my captured avi into tmpgenc and use tmpgenc's default noise reduction settings (20,1,20) with high quality checked, and then output to divx within tmpgenc. It's a very slow process, but i'm extremely pleased with the results.

Just thought i'd share my experience, those trying to clean up noisy VHS sources may want to try it.
