Embedded Subs in ogg files w/ mplayer

I've been using oggmux (0.8.5) to mux together audio/video/subs into an ogg stream. Mplayer (0.90pre5-2.95.4) plays it just fine, and can select the audio stream with the -aid (number) flag. However, mplayer does not render any subtitles onto the video, and doesn't seem to have an option (other than from an .srt file) to do so. I'm not entirely sure if the srt stream is not being mux'ed in correctly, or if mplayer is failing to recognise/render it. I have double checked and the srt file is indeed correct.

Any ideas?

Gathering from the mplayer homepage I think it simply doest support embedded subs yet.

Cheers
