How to find a DVD media manufacturer?

I have several brand names DVD+R discs that I have burnt that I want to find the original manufacturer (not the brand name.) I used Nero CD Speed 1.02 and HP DVD Writer 300i and from menu did: "Extra" > "Disc Info..." But it comes out blank (see below) for all the burnt discs that I checked including Verbatim, Fuji, HP, and Memorex. All the discs run fine on my set-top player.

Manufacturer : -
Code : -
Disc Type : -
Usage : -
Recording Layer : -
Recording Speed : -
Capacity : -
Additional Capacity : -
Overburn Capacity : -

Should I be running any tests by pressing the START button in Nero CD Speed before choosing "Disc Info".

I tried Nero DVD Speed but there is no Disc Info item in the software.

What info, the manufacturer ID? The manufacturer ID is in the "Physical format Information" on DVD+R/RW-media. Note that you for most DVD+R/RW writers need to burn something on the disc before you can read the mfr ID.
