I took that Dolby/DTS snippet from one of Microsoft's pages detailing Channel Masks (albeit in the case of WMA 9 Pro): "The 5.1 and 7.1 Dolby configurations make use of SL and SR speakers, while the 5.1 DTS system, the default used by Windows Media, places the side speakers in the back (BL and BR). The 7.1 SDDS configuration, which is the default used in Microsoft Windows® XP, makes use of five front speakers. Although this configuration is used commonly in large commercial theaters, it may not provide the best experience in a home system." |

5.1 (DTS) FL, FR, C, LFE, BL, BR (63) 5.1 (Dolby) FL, FR, C, LFE, SL, SR (1551) Of course is a big absurdity, the users don't need move the surround speakers to 90º whe listen AC3 and to 140º when listen DTS.

I just confirmed I'm still on 1.1.0.0 - will I need to update? Can I replace just this dll (I don't really want to update the whole TMT software suite, because they keep on getting worse as the build numbers progress). |

@madshi,
When you have time and get back to eac3to, would you be kind enough to add a switch to be able to turn off the audio alerts please? I was watching one of my shows with eac3to running some operations in the background and it was really annoying to hear the alerts over the program. Thank you.

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist chapters
eac3to is reporting 189 chapters when there's only 16 reported by BdInfo.
What kind of information should I send to madshi? Quote:

@buzzqw
Hi! Thanks for the suggestion(s), but based on their definitions ("-slowdown convert 25.000 and 24.000 content to 23.976 fps" "-speedup convert 23.976 and 24.000 content to 25.000 fps") they appear to be specifically for NTSC to PAL and PAL to NTSC conversion. (If my interpretation is incorrect, please advise) What I'm seeking at the moment is to evenly, over the duration of the audiostream, shorten the audiostream by 700ms... |

Hey guys, I'm looking for a simple program that will display volume levels of an audio track (DTS, AC-3) graphically, I suppose.
There's a VU meter built into either VLC or MPC, but it's indicators hardly move so there's no easy way to compare tracks. I've done a search and can't find anything. Thanks |

But if you prefer the stupid nerdish methods , you could as well "AudioDub" a BlankClip and apply Histogram("AudioLevels") onto it. { http://avisynth.org.ru/docs/english/.../histogram.htm } |

how can I transform a .thd track to .dts again? when I enter it that way 'eac3to source.thd dest.dts' then I get 6 wav files first, but which are apparently not accepted by the surcode dts encoder and the process is cancelled.

Thanks for the tool.
It's good to know that it's finally possible to convert TrueHD. As I've been playing around with Nero these past days, could you tell what sort of working graph permit the decoding of TrueHD ? Is it Nero Splitter -> Nero Audio Decoder 2 ? Do you need to specify anything in the Nero Audio Decoder 2 options ?
