http://p.gokuai.com/index.php?m=Inde...7UmrSwOj6ehL26 (IDM is available.)
nev,a 1080p60fps@97.2M clip with "evr + lav cuvid", got 59.xx fps on my poor 520 card. graphstudio:http://i.imgur.com/IFOUT.png in potplayer(evr + cuvid):http://i.imgur.com/yvaLE.png Not good but @ least very close to 60. So if using evr cp i must accept this:http://i.imgur.com/1hG0j.png how about it on your 680? And is there any possibility to improve cuvid performance? cuz seems that even a vp4 card can handle it better then mine.. http://p.gokuai.com/index.php?m=Inde...SO0m3o219vj18s (IDM is available.) a 1080i m2ts, as above graphstudio:http://i.imgur.com/NXrKO.png in potplayer(evr + cuvid):http://i.imgur.com/OAyKQ.jpg in potplayer(evr cp + cuvid):http://i.imgur.com/AZZaV.png For the bat clip, I will totally blame to poor gt520 though CoreAVC CUDA(hardware deinterlacing)can keep 60fps smoothly in evr cp. ftp://4K_Chimei:4K_Chimei@140.131.77...inn-60mbps.rar my result with "null renderer + cuvid":http://i.imgur.com/Fj2bZ.png how about you, nev? Your first link is dead, download results in a 404.
Anyway, the 520 is just very slow. It has nothing to do with CUVID speed, benchmark it without EVR and it should be much faster. Same goes for the second clip. If you use LAV for deinterlacing, it'll use the highest quality possible, which is too much for the 520. CoreAVC has no CUVID deinterlacing, its "hardware deinterlacing" tells the renderer to deinterlace, and the renderer will switch to a lower quality if its too slow.

Is IDM available?
Another link for 1080p60fps clip:http://pan.baidu.com/netdisk/singlepublic?fid=51669 Another link for 1080i m2ts:http://pan.baidu.com/netdisk/singlepublic?fid=51678 Download way:http://i.imgur.com/YUqxr.png Ok I see, native dxva2 is the best choice I think. There is no scale on that graph, its impossible to say how much memory it supposedly uses.
Anyway, when playing with DXVA-CB here, it only goes up/down by around 20 MB, which is perfectly normal.

Minimal value is around 1000 MB, maximal is around 2000 MB. memory growth speed about 150 MB/sec, memory releasing speed about 75 MB/sec.
Core i7 920, GeForce GTX 260, driver 275.33, Win7 64 bit, MPC-HC 1.6.1. Please tell me what additional delails you need to get and fix the bug. |

I see no memory fluctuations. Must be something in your setup somewhere. LAV is also limited to not pre-buffer more then required frames, which is only around ~20-30 MB.

I have no memory fluctuation on CUVID decoder, but if I use DXVA2 (copy-back) then on every H264-file a see these fluctuations.
I can check it tomorrow on Core i5-2300 + Quadro 600. --- Oh! Sorry. Fluctuations gone when I change Haali Media Splitter to LAV Splitter. Can you check Haali? I don't know, ms be it is Haali's bug? I use last Matroska splitter (03.03.2011) from official site. |

Haali is certainly behaving weirdly.
I added a fix to make it behave more sanely with Haali, so the memory usage isn't that extreme.

LIB Audio Video = Library Audio Video (Format,Codec) = LAV
LIBAV is the main core behind FFMPEG (and so the base for virtually every Linu* Media Player) and based on that LIBAV is the name of a fork of FFMPEG, it's used in millions of apps though mostly native im not sure by 100% but Lav Splitter might have been the 1st try to Port it's power over to the Directshow World (after not being happy with MPC-HCs native Win32 Splitter development) @ least the first open shortly after Av Splitter followed (though it's not open) Later on Nev Adopted the whole thing including the Audio and Video Decoding parts so the name Lav Splitter is not really that correct anymore more Lav Suite now

@heyer
yup it does main parts are ffmpeg and some ideas that came to life on doom9 (either being just released here or actively developed here) @wanezhiling the name is superb it also shows the admiration of the dev for the initial library and that without the work of everyone there his work wouldn't be possible LAV (uppercase) carries this on in the name, though i would agree that LAV Splitter doesn't fit anymore and LAV Suite or LAV Box would be some better name for the whole package it became LAV Spliiter,LAV Audio and LAV Video = LAV Suite maybe LAV DS Suite or LAV DS Box
