File System For Capture..Recent Finding
Just wanted to pass this on just in case others run into the problem I had. The answer was not obvious to me for sure. The issue was that I had problems recording (capturing) and playing back. I would get jerky / stuttery playback.
It tuns out that my problem was that I was using the EXT3 file system. EXT2 had other problems. What works GREAT is the ReiserFS File system. Stay away from EXT3. The problem can be eliminated also by using a big HDD cache but the best solution appears to be to use the ReiserFS file system. Just wanted to pass this on..... |
