DVD2SVCD works perfect, but this movie gives me problems:

Have you converted several movies without any problems.
You have you read the FAQ.
But this movie seems to be the exception for your perfect score.

Please include following data in your reply:
DVD2SVCD version:
Title:
system: (PAL/NTSC)
Region:
Interlaced or not:
Ripper:
What is the Problem:
Why you think is doesn't work:
If you solved it how.....:

So we create list of "tricky" DVD conversions. (or even impossible, at the moment ...)

Example:

version 1.0.3 build 2
Prinses Mononoke NTSC region 1 not interlaced, smartripper 2.36
Problem:
English audio complete out of sync.... also pieces
of the japanese intro in the movie....
I used the normal rip movie.

I fixed it using smartripper by skipping 3 cells in the
first chapter. (trhowing away the intro credits...)

shouldn't this be in the decrypting section?

but on a more sympathetic note, I think this is a good idea to make a list of the difficult ones (x-men was notorious when it came out) and workarounds for them. Mind you, the software just gets better and better so the demand should (hopefully) be dwindling

No, not the "shouldn't this be in the decrypting section? "

Another movie "manhunter" pal reg2 has problems with subs.....

We have a product "dvd2svcd" nearly perfect ........

Some strange movies have problems with "our" product.....

why not share those exceptions with "our" product ?

re: Mononoke. Not necessarily a problem disc.

Initially, I, too, had problems with this disc.

See this thread:
http://rilanparty.com/vbb/showthread...threadid=10576

But

In the end.......no problem using SmartRipper 2.39. The entire movie was backed-up without difficulty, no async problems.

Swordfish, Region 4 PAL - first VOB seems to be empty on ripping. When I play the second VOB in power DVD i get the start of the movie. After encoding in DVD2SVCD the audio is so far out I don't know what's happening..

Ripped with internal routines and SmartRipper

Species, Region 4 PAL - is 16:9 encoded on DVD, yet after encoding with DVD2SVCD (and making sure I chose 16:9 as the option on the encode tab) I get a 4:3 "stretched" image.

Ripped with both internal routines and SmartRipper
