How to rotate -2 degrees?
Please allow a question from a newbie-to-this-forum. I searched, and found nothing on this topic. I have captured raw DV (avi) files, video of a theatrical performance recorded by a cameraman (the wretch) who had the camera tilted slightly. It's glaringly obvious on-screen, and I'm searching for a tool to fix it. I'm experimenting for the first time with VD. Found the built-in Rotate-2 filter, and it seems to do the trick. The result, however, is that long horizontal lines (like the edge of the stage), once rotated, now have a stair-step or zig-zag effect. I can't find a filter that can deal with this. I would be very grateful for any tips or suggestions. Thanks.

Several options:
- Blur the image a bit (probably a bad idea) - Use supersampling (upsize to like 4x the size, rotate, downsize to original) - Try avisynth and see wether it deals better with the problem. I guess supersampling, either in vdub or avisynth, is the best idea. You probably should try which is faster.

I know this has been a while, but I'm just getting back to this project. I'm noticing that by using VirtualDubMod's Rotate2 filter I get a result that has significantly reduced video quality compared to the original: washed-out colors, loss of detail. Is this just the way it goes with that filter, or is there some way of retaining the original quality and just rotating?
