Copying a file.......

from a region2 old movie (vob file with trailers) is impossible.
DVDdecrypter (new and old version), vstrip and smartripper will hang and copying directly from dvd (9) is impossible. In all cases I get a redundance error. Now, when I play this trailer in my stand alone (I got 3 different kinds) there is absolutely no prob and playing the dvd in one of my dvd drives gives no prob either.
My question is:
by commando line, how do I copy this file from the dvd to my HD using vstrip ?(tried pure dosmode, didn't work either)
(By God never had such a hard nut to crack..........)

The disc is probably not up to the standard expected by a pc dvdrom drive and as such, yours wont read it. This could be due to a finger print or other such 'dirt'. It could also be a scratch, or just be faulty.
Standalone machines will read *anything* - never judge a disc by its readability in one.

dude, its all the same thing!

All windows is doing is submitting the same requests to the drive. You cant do it any other way.

If the drive cant read the disc, it cant read the disc - end of story.
