antenna

just have a few antenna questions...

I went on TitanTV's site and if i go with like 4 locals it tells me i can get them with a "Medium Multi-direction", but when i add ABC (which id really like to get) it tells me i need a "Medium Directional w/ pre-amp".. id really rather not have to put some big antenna on the roof if i could just put one of those multi-directionals across my upstairs window. I was wondering if i got a large multi-direction with w/ a pre-amp if that would be about the same?
Any advice or recommendations are greatly appreciated
thanks

If they tell you need a medium directional, an omnidirectional obviously isn't gonna cut it, especially not inside the house. Just to be safe, go with a "large" directional, you'll get fewer dropouts if any. Channel Master 4248 or Radioshack 15-2160 Yagis are good, with the corresponding CM or RS preamp.
