Default AVS file

Is there a way I can edit the default avs file gordian knot uses when using save/encode? I like to keep my avs's clean without all the commented out options, and id like to turn off undot() by default. Anyone know a way to do this?

Hi and welcome to the forum-

You want an already edited .avs to show up? Sorry, but you can't do that. There's no Config File (yet) to help you do those things. Maybe later. You'll have to edit it fresh every time.

One thing that I do, which you might find useful, is to set up a number of "template" .avs's and store them somewhere, and then move the one I want into my movie folder. Then I get the MPEG2Source line, the crop values, and the resize from GKnot, and add them to my already (mostly) prepared .avs, and then open that in the Encoding Control Panel.

And you didn't ask this, but I don't recommend dropping Undot(). It gives free and fast compressibility, without damage to the video. Just my opinion.

I have searched quite a bit and can't find anything on this subject. So we can't modify the ...\VDubMod\template\*.avst files?

I want to encode a bunch of recorded shows but want to run them through Guavacomb. How can I do that in AutoGK?

.avst files are avs template files and openable in Notepad.exe, same as avs.

You can't use your own filters in AutoGK. You have to live with what it gives you. You have to use GK if you want to use Guavacomb.
