Really what were you expecting... When you told XhmikosR that you wanted to be "a master of your own", it was not really clear that you were still willing to help MPC-HC project. -_-' If it's what you want, then I'm really happy to know that you will continue contributing directly to MPC-HC project and I'm sure you will have your SVN access back.

Nice, I prefer the first and third skins. The third skin's volume icon doesn't really fit in, but anyway I can see the first one going down well with most users. Might want to make a new thread where you list your intended changes and ambitions with new fork.

Wow that's really nice by comparison with MPC-HC's GUI
But how do I enable it in MPC-BE v0.1.0.52-dev?
Also I think It will be a really really good idea to open here a new thread for MPC-BE cause MPC-HC's thread it's already to long and you'll also be able to edit the first post

Good job with the new GUI !

P.S. And maybe MPC-BE team will be able to patch things up with MPC-HC team if no one will be "The Boss of all Bosses "

P.P.S. My impression is that all was more of a language barrier/problem than anything else just my 2c

Hello Aleksoid,

The way things went and the words chosen to explain things made us think you left the project completely.
You didn't notify anyone about your frustration about not feeling any freedom in the project and your intention to create a new fork. Well we have such a place in the project. Every developer that wants one gets a branch. In this branch you can do whatever you want, janwillem32 has a branch for his work on the EVR renderer and so did ar-jar.

In the trunk however, we expect everyone to work together on the democracy there, we do not have a benevolent dictatorship.

All we ask of you, is that you talk to the rest of the team before you make any commits. All you need to do is open a ticket or send an email or come on IRC, give the others a chance to ask questions and comment on it, and then commit to SVN-trunk after that. And when things go wrong, e.g. a regression bug is introduced, that you respond to the tickets or emails about that regression. It's up to you to either commit a fix or revert the commit and come back later.

This problem is partially caused by communication problems like us not getting responses to emails sent to you, I'm not sure if you do not respond or that the emails end up lost in a spamfilter somewhere.

We assume you agree to the above?

Although one of my change was bad, or I ever did something that spoiled the project? I do not use IRC - but I respond to email if possible.

But you decide when something - I do not remember that you have asked me - agree i or don't.

And anyway - as related MPC-BE and my access to MPC-HC svn ?

Hi, I was wondering if there is currently any work being done in regards to 3D support (playback of full-over-and-under 1920x2160 video).

Stereoscopic player does it well, but lack many features (such as subtitle support).

Also, since it comes with directshow filters (a stereo renderer and a 3d transformation filter), I would imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to make use of it in MPC-HC?

3D is getting more and more popular, and it's a shame there's currently no way to properly playback stereoscopic content.

Thanks

After more testing I've discovered that other files with the same encoding MPEG-2-PS (i) BUT only with one audio stream are working with the internal MPEG-2 DXVA

So internal MPEG-2 DXVA it seems it's not working only with MPEG-2-PS (i) with 2 audio streams tested with LAVSplitter & LAVAudio too beside the internal splitter and audio decoder

P.S. Internal MPEG-2 NON-DXVA it's working with all files and all splitters and all audio decoders

No, this is not the amount of the audio stream, all in the specific decoded MPEG2 stream.

P.S. Usually - one frame in stream read and passed to the DXVA decoder, each on one(its) surface. But stream like this, have Second Field, and, as I think, the two frames (normal and Second Field) must transmitted to one surface. Example - like VC1 (I) DXVA decoding. But how do it in DXVA MPEG2 decoder - I still do not understand

And - now i don't have access, I think we can not wait to solve this problem

And now all of my achievements would be only in the MPC-BE.
Looks like you lost SVN access for being difficult to work with and not doing a very good job.

Maybe you can take a look at LAVVideo cause it's working with all DXVA versions = Native & Copy-Back

Not be able to - there is a completely different way to build a decoder and the process of decoding

I ve been wondering this myself too. Of course the dev. team of MPC-HC must have their interest for this and I don t think that we can expect native 3D Blu-Ray support any time soon in MPC-HC. For the time-beeing I m using TheaterTek and PowerDVD. Those players suck. They are not open source and therefor do not allow important features like madVR or LAV filter support.

I actually thought powerdvd was pretty nice. The smooth video, or frame rate interpolation was definitely a nice feature.

Blu ray sucks. It's closed, proprietary and DRM infested, pain in the arse. I would boycott it. If you won't then I guess you should just get dedicated hardware for the best experience.
