Deleting blanked vobs/ifos

Hi, i have a question regarding to blanked vobs/ifos, can i just simply delete them!?

Situation:

Main movie: VTS_01_0 to VTS_01_5
extras i stripped with PGCedit: VTS_02_x + VTS_03_x + VTS_05_x
extras i kept: VTS_04_x

so even after blanking them, running fixvts, they are still there with couple of kbytes (also with ifo).

So i was wondering if i can simply delete the not needed vobs and use pgcedits function to remove unreferenced calls?

so i end up with just VTS_01 and VTS_04 !?

Edit: can i just del those files all in my windows explorer? and then let pgcedit fix whats to fix?

If you do the DVD won't work anylonger.
You have to reedit the DVD, but judging from your question I think it's safer not to.

Can this be done with pgcedit, reedit the dvd? or is another program better suited for that?

@Penecho

Hi!

If your DVD still works properly (as it should) after cleaning it up with FixVTS, other than a few K (miniscule), there is absolutely nothing to be gained by re-editing. Leave well enough alone ;>}

The entire purpose of blanking is to avoid re-authoring. If you're going to re-author (aka edit) then you don't need to blank.

In PgcEdit, selecting "Blank Out All PGCs in Domain" removes (almost) everything. It replaces the Title VOBs with a tiny 20KB VOB, and removes completely the Menu VOB. (You have to apply the function to the VTST and to the VTSM, unless there are only dummy PGCs in the VTSM.)

If you are absolutely sure that a specific VTS is never accessed, you can also remove all jumps to that VTS from the VMGM, and let PgcEdit remove the VTS completely with Delete Uncalled Titlesets. But removing manually the references to a VTS requires some knowledge, and may be dangerous. Do it at your own risk!

Note also that "accessed" is NOT equal to "played". For example, a killed title is still accessed, but not played. But if you remove a Bonus menu button and the only way to access the VTS was by that button, then there are chances that the VTS is never accessed. Verify in trace mode, and if it's the case, then try to replace the Jumps to that VTS with NOPs, and call Remove Uncalled PGCs.
