x264.nl contact info

I'm not sure how to contact the author of the Windows builds from http://x264.nl/, but I would like him to have a look at the frame rate problem (or bug?) I've reported here.
Thanks.

It's a shame bond is no longer active on the forum (Last Activity: 12th June 2010 23:11). As this topic needs cleaning up!!!!

You misunderstand...

Bond was a Doom9 forum moderator who used to keep this topic clean and tidy, and free of off-topic posts. He's not an x264 developer!

This topic is here to provide MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 Information. It's not a Q&A. Indeed: -

If you have any questions plz search the forum, perhaps they have been answered already and only then start a new thread

thanks,
bond

Oh, sorry. I landed here because I've found these links on the x264.nl page:
information: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=96059
discussion: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=80910
Since the discussion thread is closed, I had only the option to post here. As you know, I'm trying to contact the author of the x264.nl builds.

Moved off-topic posts from the sticky thread. Please don't use the sticky thread for discussion!

You can always open a new thread (in the appropriate sub-form) to start a new discussion, but please don't steal other unrelated/inactive threads...

As x264.nl only hosts x86 and x86_64 builds, but r2274 was a fix in the ARM-specific assembly code, there is no reason to update

I was offline at the time, but it seems like Jarod was fooling/rambling on the #x264 channel about completely unrelated and unwanted things, and after a warning that he ignored he got kicked out and banned. I remember him doing that a few times before in a rather rude manner during the last X years, so the ban was kind of understandable.

Seems to be a revenge of sorts, I guess. As he controls that site.

You could try http://mirror03.x264.nl/ and http://mirror04.x264.nl/ , those seemingly still let you access them. I wonder if VideoLAN would be willing to host 'vanilla' Windows binaries after they calm down with their current drama .

By sheer coincidence, after several months of not keeping up to date with anything x264, I wanted to see if there were any new developments. I went to an x264 changelog I had bookmarked from that site, just to find that it wasn't there.

mirror01.x264.nl still hosts the files (i'm hosting that)... but i guess it's up to the domain name's (x264.nl) how long it would resolve, maybe the dns entry is simply cached on my system and for you guys it's already down.

either way, i'd have no problems hosting the main domain for a while if needed. i don't like irc so whoever wants to can contact me through pm here.

later edit: ok, until this issue is resolved i've disabled ftp access for uploads and created this download link for those that need downloads of the latest versions:

http://x264.x265.net

^ yes, above link is correct, yes i know it says x265, no there's nothing related to x265 yet.

But, there is no indication about bit depth on those builds...

Edit: and no changelog...

They're 8 bit, and the change log is basically here: http://git.videolan.org/gitweb.cgi?p=x264.git;a=shortlog

I've updated the http://mirror01.x264.nl and http://x264.x265.net mirrors to show the latest release. Once everything's set up properly on videolan, i'll probably stop updating the page.

(The first link you'll find under "DOWNLOAD" has up-to-date 10-bit builds! The VideoLan.org mirror currently does not though)

Thank you!
