moviemaker2 problem

Hi,

I`ve got a little question about the windows moviemaker 2. I have installed the moviemakerupdate from microsoft.com . There were no problems. But suddenly the mm2 crashs everytime I want to add a clip tp the movie. Is anyone able to help me?

Maybe if a kindly mod will move this to NLE or DV we can get Shootist a magic bullet for his problem. WMM2 is really very good and full featured, but has a few quirks like not liking 44.1 Audio and a real bad allergy to bad memory. WMM2 is better than memtest for finding bad mem quickly.

Well, I tried to point out a couple of things above. Let us know the composition of your clip. Is it standard DV with 48k audio?

no this is a wmv video made with mm2 with the optimal setting (~2000kbps) I have no idea about the sound. but the problems even appear when I add normal jpegs or other videos.
