time search / pgc question scenarist

If I want a dvd project in scenarist to be able to time search does
it have to be one big pgc ?
How is this done with menus and first play and then the project video. I have imported some projects with a first play and motion menus and the movie, and it made works fine but no time search. If I import just one audio and video file it puts out a finished set that will time search.

You need to keep one PGC per title in order to have the time search. You can create as many titles as you need. Menu PGCs are not affected by this.
