Yes, you deliberately overlook that I wanted to be able to change THREE values not only the one "--crf 16".
The I reminded you that I cannot overwrite "2.0 Aften AC3 256 kbps [cbr]" and cannot find the equivalent for "--auto-chapters=3" in the GUI. You persistantly refuse or ignore to answer these questions. -> "Sure, would be easier to modify/set these values in the GUI! " ---> If it is not possible yet, add it to the wishlist, PLEASE! Have a good night! |

I have run into a problem with doing a mkv to mp4 conversion. I have some mkv files I created with RipBot264 and wanted to convert them down to iphone compatible mp4s. Well, when I go to load the file in RipBot264, RipBot demuxes the audio and then says "Please Wait While Gathering Info...." and then just hangs. I can adjust audio settings during this time, but video is not adjustable. Now, I am running Win7 x64 and had a similar problem when ripping VC-1 files, but that has since been rectified. Any ideas? I would really like to get some of these files converted for my son to watch...

Using 1.14.1, I'm getting the following error at the end of the demuxing process of a BluRay source:
"Er is onvoldoende geheugen beschkbaar" means: insufficient memory available I'm on WinXP SP3 with 4 Gb memory (3,5 Gb seen by OS 32 bits limitation) |

Atak, could you try and not act like a petulant child all the time? And could you please stop trying your darndest to live up to the 'totally unmannered former Eastblock kid with skills' stereotype? Because not a page goes by in this thread where I don't see your blunt rudeness flying by. And frankly, it's getting old very very fast. Over and Out.

I do have a question regarding audio normalization. I have never been able to get it to work. Anytime I set it to either 100% or 200% with AAC audio and go to start the encode RipBot just hangs. It never starts the encode. Is there a secret I am missing?

You must wait longer.

Is that punishment for asking a stupid question previously?
I had waited before, but I guess not long enough. Thanks, works brilliantly. Last edited by Balthazar2k4; 12th June 2009 at 17:40. |

Normalize function must scan whole audio file in order to set maximum safe volume. It takes some time depending of movie duration and speed of your CPU.

coreavc freezes ripbot bt works!
There is a strange behaviour related to CoreAVC in conjunction to Ripbot: if I use hardware AVC decoding, after let's say 25% of 1st pass, the Ripbot window freeze and so does the tray icon. However, if you go with the mouse on the brown circle, it shows an increasing percentage and the encoding process goes on.
My system is Windows7 7100 RC x64, Nvidia 8600GTS and I7 920 OC to 3.33GHz. I know that FFDShow could be faster to decode AVC but having some CPU power left is useful..

It appears I was a little premature in my celebration. I just tried converting an mp4 with 6 channel aac to an iphone compatible mp4 with 2 channel aac with 200% normalize. When I start the encode Ripbot skips the audio and start encoding the video directly. The previous file I tried was an mkv with flac and that worked fine.

Are you talking about DG NV tools?

yep, DGAVCDecNV from neuron2. I can use megui to create an avisynth and use nvidia hardware deinterlacing, which is great quality and may speed up the encoding process.
just wondered if that could be incorporated into ripbot in a similar fashion as im back to PSP encoding and want to convert my interlaced HD caps |
