@Shuttle99

Hi!

Actually, the log shows "--force-cfr", rather than "--force-crf" - which leads me to think that you typed the logs in your post rather than actually copying them and pasting the copies.

Perhaps you should post copied versions, just to be sure...

I copied and pasted so maybe thats where the problem is.

Remember 35.01 is the one that works fine, 36.01 does not work.

I did not touch or edit the files.

Thanks for catching it so maybe you found the problem.

@Shuttle99;
Do you let BD-RB create a new .ini file when you unzip the newest release? If not, you may want to try that. It is pretty simple to set up the new release with the features that you like, and avoid a potential conflict with previous versions to new releases.
I removed "--force-cfr" from the command line -- I'd added it a couple of revisions ago in testing and forgot to remove it then. I don't think it's the issue, but...

@Shuttle99

Turn off LAVF and see if that fixes it.

"--force-cfr" is correct. That command tells X264 (when using LAVF) to generate it's own timecodes instead of using those from the source.

You don't need to keep repeating what you did, we're not morons and heard it the first 4 times.

Kick-Ass

Not a bug report, so let me first apologize for posting. I'm looking to you guys for recommended settings for Kick-Ass. When you backup this movie, what playlist do you choose for the movie-only backup? There are multiple ones here, and I'd prefer not to waste my time choosing the wrong one (which is what I think I did last time, by letting it choose it for me). Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Since you have TS3, I gotta ask: have you tried to make a backup of disc 2? I tried a couple of times with 0.35.01 and got this:

I haven't tried it. I'll try it and see what happens. What tweaks are you using?

Hey JDobbs, firstly thanks for the great work and support on the program, love ya

I have a problem with the latest build, while converting `Fringe Season 2' to BD25 it keeps crashing stating that `x264 has stopped working..' If I retry it will eventually do it, but it take maybe 10 retry's to get through it.

Ive tried using x264.exe from older versions of BD Rebuilder but get the same results, I've had no problems previously with the program.

Im going to try a different disc as a last resort to write off the problem being with the actual BD Rip, in the meantime do you have any advice?

Regards. Mick

Make sure you use the versions in the first post of this thread. Most of the time what appears to be X264 problems are actually caused in the frame serving.

DVD can't be 1920x1080 -- it would violate spec. HD resolutions would indicate BD-5/9 or AVCHD rather than DVD.

The reason I made that stament is because he supossedly found a problem where there is no problem in 35.01 so I wanted to make sure he was aware the problem is with 36.01.

That setting is the only thing I can think that might be different. As I asked, try disabling LAVF -- as it would at least see if this is the related to your problem. If you want to try with LAVF on, you could also try adding this to the v0.36.01 INI file and see if it makes a difference:

TWEAK_PASS_ONE=--force-cfr
TWEAK_PASS_TWO=--force-cfr

Panasonics are really picky (painfully so)... and it's possible that something this simple may make a difference.

Ok I have in checked the LAVF box and am re-doing it now. I have been having the box selected to use it since you added it to the program and it has been working with no problems. I have unchecked the box and report back when it is finished.

Thanks for your patience.

No problem -- thanks for your help. Make sure, though, that you don't add the tweaks unless you have LAVF selected. The FORCE_CFR setting is only meant to work with LAVF.
