Combining 3 Stereo Tracks to Make One Surround File
I have 3 stereo audio files that I would like to combine into a surround sound file.
Which programs can I use to do this? I do not have a surround card or audio system, however, I have previously been able to encode a surround file with 3 stereo audio files in a program called Audacity, however the effect was not good and I was unable to assign certain tracks to certain positions on the 5.1 track (left, right, center, etc). Can someone help me out? Thanks in advance! |

You could give WaveWizard v0.54b a try too!

I'll try those out, thanks!
I have another question. Can these tools assign certain tracks to certain positions in the surround file, such as Left channel, Right channel, Center channel, etc? If not, can someone recommend a tool that can? The only tools I've found so far are commercial that can do this. Last edited by funnybunny; 18th June 2009 at 19:14. Reason: New Question |

With WaveWizard you can move individual "mono" tracks around.
You can move "paired" files around but they will still be linked as pairs.... If that makes any sense?

You click and hold on the file/channel. And move it up/down the list: -
EDIT: The above is the correct order. Cheers
