HP DVD Movie Writer dc3000 > VHS capture to DVD
What do you think about this new product from HP? It's an external DVD writer with built-in analog video capture in which users can quickly and easily transfer personal home videos directly from VHS tapes (via camcorder or VCR) to a digital format on their PC or DVD+R/+RW discs

As long as you have a fast USB port
Hi,
The only comment I want to make is that you definitely need a fast USB port. Mine are slow. So I would clear that out as a beginning. Because the device won't do you any good if you cannot use it at full speed. Not long a go, I bought an external harddisk with 7200 u/min. But the fact is that my USB connections are too slow in datatransfer in comparision to my harddisk. Meaning that my harddisk also performs at the same datarate exchange as my USB connection.
