Quick question: is the Sanear audio renderer (a.k.a the internal MPC-HC audio renderer) capable of locking onto the video clock and doing on-the-fly audio speed adjustment (resampling), just like ReClock? I'm reading conflicting things on the subject. If yes, how do I configure this feature?

Use Madvr to create an optimized custom refresh rate. Boom, problem solved. Once done, you can switch back to EVR if desired.
Need to undo PAL speedup? That's already possible as well. Set "speed step" in MPC-HC options to 4%. Also use internal audio renderer. Then just click the decrease speed button once to reduce playback rate from 25 to 24fps. Audio is resampled with pitch correction by the audio renderer. |

Btw, I had some troubles with Sanaer and such speedups/speeddowns in the past with stretched audio in mkv. The video would stutter (with EVR-CP and madvr) or there would be stutter/dropouts in the audio. The default renderer works better for me (I don't need wasapi or bitstreaming, but the mentioned pitch correction could be useful). I never came around doing a proper bug report but then again it is not being actively developed anyways .. |

Add/remove buttons on MPC-HC toolbar?
I've found a lot of info on skinning the existing toolbar, but I want to change the buttons - specifically:
Does anyone know how to do this? |

Well, I don't think the case is as clear cut as you make it sound:
Audio resampling cons: no bitstreaming; requires software support from the player. Custom mode cons: TV compatibility issues with back porch tweaking; requires a tedious set-up phase for every refresh rate; has to be set up again if the hardware changes (e.g. switching to a different audio output); subject to all kinds of weird GPU driver bugs. I think there's still a market for audio resampling IMHO, if only because it's way more user-friendly. |

green horizontal stripe at the bottom of video
~1 pixel wide across the screen
https://workupload.com/start/qny29zC just in this one blu ray, never ever had this issue with any other. in vlc not visible, only in mpc-hc. is it defect in BD or playback problem? Last edited by Vincent Vega; 18th May 2018 at 05:07. |

The stripe seems to be encoded into the video.

if video crop flags in mkv container worked in mpc with lav filters, would come in very handy for such files.
let alone dvd remuxes where they are needed every time. i hope maybe you'll get around to add support for that eventually. thanks so much for all your work on these filters! |
