@jdobbs
From the discussion going on here, I wonder if DB-RB should set --level 4.0 for best blu-ray compliance, because x.264 doesn't use slices.
Secondly, is --nal-hrd set by tsmuxer?

I'll check out the link, but I've been involved in similar discussions before. Frankly I think its much ado about nothing. If you set to 4.0 you're also limiting other parts of the encode (like bitrate). Level 4.1 is what Blu-ray intended, but 4.0 works. I may set it if I ever hear of problems that appear to be related.

nal-hrd is set by TSMUXER, so you don't have to worry about it in X264. If/when I finish my own muxer module it will do it as well.

Furiousflea and jdobbs, Are either of you running a Intel i7 940 on a x58 architecture? Or is anyone else here running this architecture?

Very pleased, no stability issues. Fast.

I've had no issues on 3 systems running 920's with 6GB ram and Vista 64, my issues have only been on Dual Xeon i7 systems

Hi Jdobbs, i've got the same Problem with der_voleser. Every track was reencoded to Dolby Digital, even the normal DTS tracks.

Heres the mux_movie_only.meta where you will see the reencodinh to AC3:

The latest version from the first page is giving me a "expired - try newer version" message. PC date and time are correct and there is no newer version so what gives?

Well I got a 920\x58 based motherboard at 4.1Ghz. All i7 chips are the same basically.

The one on the first page doesn't expire for over a a month from now... and it's running right now on my system. I think you're mistaken. Are you sure you're pointing to that version?

If the file has been modified/hacked in any way it might also cause that message. I'd suggest you do a virus scan on your system and then download again.

His shortcut is probably aimed at an older version. I've done that several times.

JDobbs, thanks for all the hard work. Love this app very much. W/the latest build, have been experiencing the same error when trying to rebuild a BD50 to BD25. I also now get this error w/earlier versions of BD-RB. I'm currently using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 w/a i920 & 6GB of triple channel memory. Have been able to rebuild a couple dozen movies before I started getting this error. I uninstalled Avisynth, Haali & ffdshow then reinstalled but I still get this error...can anyone help me?

You want help with a pirated source?

Furthermore, The Empire Strikes Back isn't even available on Bluray...I suggest you sling your hook and don't post.

Just looked at your post history...

BDRB is not for backing up your downloaded Blurays, home made blurays...Its for backing up UNMODIFIED store bought blurays.

Hi. I love the program and rarely get errors. I have now, however run into a problem that I don't know how to solve and was wondering if you could help me. The source is 12 Monkeys US. Do you need any other information?

Hmm. Somehow my system date got set back 10 days. Resetting fixed it. Funny thing is, it didn't fix it until I redownloaded it after resetting the correct date. AT any rate its working now, so thanks.

Whenever you see this error, immediately copy the command line from LASTCMD.TXT in the BD-RB directory and paste it into a command window. Then you will be able to see what error X264 is running into.

If you've recently upgraded to Win7 -- search the thread.

My suspicion is that you have downloaded the "original" and and mounted that as an ISO on your hard drive and run it on TMT3 and it works with the PiP audio intact (as it should). However you have only tried the ISO on your standalone after running it through BDRB and burning to BD25 and playing that on your standalone...Thereby experiencing the missing audio that happens on the Sony bluray players unless you have the audio output set to "Mix" in the setup menu.

Thus, jumping to the conclusion that the original wouldn't do this because it doesn't with TMT3 having never actually tested the original ISO with the Sony standalone since you don't have a BD50 disc.

Sorry dude for assuming this, but it's defo a likely scenario for some people ain't making a judgment on morals or anything here.
I appreciate that the Sony has a flaw / limitation and I hadn't tried the original on it for PiP - it's set to direct as I also have a LG which doesn't output 7 channels independently which does play the disc fine (again I've just checked it). I can honestly say I've never watched a PiP or intend to start but this issue was more to do with the Sony losing the main audio on bd-9 and perhaps it would be resolved with a 'proper' PiP structure. It's nonsense to suggest, as others have, that verifying the outputs with TMT on the pc first is somehow a flawed process. The ripped image, or playing the disc on a pc with TMT, works fine. The bd-25 version doesn't allow the secondary audio to be played - somehow there is a difference apart from encoding. It doesn't matter from my perspective regarding the bd-25, but as this thread is about identifying bugs it might be that some small tweak could impact on other functionality.

I didn't take this the wrong way as we all appreciate that problems caused from those who have downloaded corrupt versions.

does seem a bit weird, could you say which title is giving this issue. Maybe someone else has this disc.

I got the same problem and was down to a corrupted Haali Media Splitter. I reinstalled and it is fine now.
