I see no such indication from the log, and the tsmuxer .meta includes timeshift=0. The original audio formats for the 2 tracks are DTS HD XLL Multi-Ch and DTS Multi Ch which I convert to ac3 448kbps.
I will demux the audio with DGAVCIndex and see if it indicates a delay for the audio. Added: DGAVCIndex flagged all audio tracks with DELAY 0ms Last edited by Sharc; 23rd July 2009 at 20:23. |

I'll try to clarify. You're right the audio problem with no audio\subs being selectable does only happen on BD9. My problem isn't related to that. If you go back a page you will see that I managed to get the PiP AND PiP AC3+ audio tracks working by changing a setting on my player. However I am still experiencing freezing issues on "The Day The Earth Stood Still" whenever a PiP window appears when watching the film. It will freeze just before it should appear. On this disc there is no audio track present for the PiP video. It should just show some storyboards and related silent things. The main audio track is DTSMA. All AC3+ PiP discs are working PERFECTLY. They all use TrueHD as the main soundtrack |

I'm waiting for my 0.25.2 8% sample encode to finish, with 1%, 2%, 4% already done.
Black Hawk Down, regionB, Movie Only BD25 destination, High Speed+One-pass. More about this later. Meanwhile a thought came into my mind: it has always been my understanding that Trellis should be somehow (but not necessarily) helpful in a 2-pass encoding environment and that could lead to unpredictable results in 1-pass only encoding. I just leave it disabled by default. What is your opinion? Thanks All of my high-speed 1-pass encodings have been done without Trellis. Tomorrow I'll give it a try. Last edited by daberti; 23rd July 2009 at 23:24. |

Thanks for the improvements in BD-RB, jdobbs!
I just did full movie backups with THE INCREDIBLE HULK and TROY last night in a little over 1Hr. and 1Hr. and 38 min. respectively! My Q9650 had never achieved this before. Always took like 6-8 hrs. This thing FLIES now!!!!! |

V.0.25.04 comes up short
@jdobbs
Just completed "Ghostbusters" movie-only, "One pass-experimental", set for BD-5, English 5.1 .AC3 only, and no subtitles. The resultant BluRay "package", although of very good visual quality compared to the original BluRay disc, is only 3.65Gb... I don't think it had any bearing on the outcome (since this was a movie-only conversion) but, I unchecked "Quicker encode for extras". Your thoughts? I did Watchmen Dir Cut, movie only, 2 pass. There are 2 versions of the movie on the disk;the main movie, and then there's the Max Movie Mode, w/ pop ups & the Director coming on screen & talking about the movie. When I do a movie only it seems to pick the track of the Max Movie Mode, not the track of just the movie. How do I select what track I want to do for a movie only copy? Is there a way to extract the track I want to another directory & let BD-RB work on that? Thanks.

Just tested BD-RBV02504 on a full movie backup to BD-25 on Beowulf, region 1, NTSC with PROCESS_SECONDARY=1 set, since this is a PIP Blu-Ray. There is only PIP video in the original, no audio. Burned to BD-RE for playback on my Sony BDP-BX1.
The backup video pauses at the starting point of the pop up PIP, approx. 1 minute from the start of the movie. The time clock continues to advance. There is no PIP visible, only the border that would surround it if it were present. If I select to play the movie only without the option of the PIP, it still pauses at the same time. The video remains a still picture from the start of where the PIP would pop up, and will not advance or resume. EDIT: The movie will not start, only a black screen when I tried to play back the BD-RE on my computer with PowerDVD 7.3. It does play fine, including PIP with TMT 2.1.6.130 however. It's just too bad I don't watch my movies from the PC. Last edited by Capsbackup; 24th July 2009 at 20:03. |

If you are hell-bent to hit a target, perhaps you should use 2-pass instead. |
