How to fix a possibly damaged .mp4 file on a mac?

Hi, group.

I have a couple of .mp4 files which, for some reason, can't be read anymore (VLC, QuickTime, you name it...).

For many, many years I have not this problem.
Is there any Mac app which can fix this annoying problem?

Thanks in advance for any solution.

All the best

Arlindo
