Disk Space Issue

I'm having a disk space issue. I have a 60gb main HD and it has ruffly 25GB of movies on it about to be transported onto my media PC. I keep getting issues of HD low disk space when the whole time I have only 25GB of movies and at max 5GB including OS of programs. OS=2.5GB and I have OfficeXP and that's about it outside of virtualdub and other 1mb programs. Anywho it keeps killing the vitualdub process because it tells me that it is out of disk space. Does anyone know of windows XP having issues like this? Like maybe it isn't refreshing its diskspace?

Have you tried running a checkdisk on your drive?
