WMV update

@buzz

I'm able to encode the video portion to WMV without any more issues. Quality is good. However, I have not been able to find a 6channel wma combination that works. No issues with 2 channel, though.

I'm currently experimenting with just encoding the video, mux out the audio separately (to wav files, to 5.1 wma), then remuxing the video and audio together. I'll update once the first test is completed.

Code:
Shutdown=1

Hmmm ... second try at a VC-1 -> h264 conversion. I've been successful with others, but this one freezes on the first pass with only 24 frames left. ???

buzzqw, for the multithread avisynth, can you make an option to choose the number of threads we want? I find that setmtmode(2,0) causes slowdowns, probably because of some sort of latency. I find setmtmode(2,3) 30% faster (I have a quad core) than (2,0).

I am having an issue converting a tennis match I captured to an h.264 compressed TS file. The x264.exe passes are failing immediately with an error I don't understand:

Code:
avis [error]: unsupported input format (DIB )
x264 [error]: could not open input file 'C:\Users\Rick\Downloads\PortableApps\HDConvertToX_2.1.458.3528\job1\hdconverttox_wta.2004.kremlin.open.finals.dementieva.vs.myskina.avs'
I have attached everything I thought was pertinent.
Attached Files
File Type: txt Post_This_File.txt (3.3 KB, 26 views)
File Type: txt queue.txt (1.6 KB, 12 views)
File Type: txt queue_log.txt (4.1 KB, 15 views)

VC1 is very "difficult" to decode. i can only suggest to update your windows media player and ffdshow,
best solution will be using NVTools by Neuron2

Yes, and I believe I have successfully encoded another video via the same method.

EDIT: Yep, just tried converting another one of these captures, and the x264.exe pass started just fine. I did not, however, resize and crop this test movie like with the one I am having trouble with. Could that be causing issues?

Hi buzzqw, I came back!) Another problem, for the first time I tried to rip film with subtitles and got this
Code:
E:\temp\job1>"D:\tools\HDC\applications\mp4box.exe" -add "E:\temp\job1\hdconvert
tox_vts_01_1.h264" -fps 25.000  -add "E:\temp\job1\hdencodertox-pid3.mp4":lang=e
ng  -add "E:\temp\job1\hdencodertox-pid4.mp4":lang=rus  -chap "E:\temp\job1\chap
ters.txt"  -add "E:\temp\job1\hdc_subs.idx" "e:\film.mp4"
AVC-H264 import - frame size 720 x 304 at 25.000 FPS
Import results: 156291 samples - Slices: 1837 I 64944 P 89510 B - 1 SEI - 1770 I
DR
IsoMedia import - track ID 1 - Audio (SR 48000 - 2 channels)
IsoMedia import - track ID 1 - Audio (SR 48000 - 2 channels)
VobSub import - subpicture stream 'eng'
Unknown input file type
Error importing E:\temp\job1\hdc_subs.idx: Requested URL is not valid or cannot
be found
The shtick was that the subtitles successfully muxed when changed container type to mkv, all other settings were the same

I did in my original post, and the crop isn't odd. It always goes "red" when I try that.

Yes of of course! E:\temp\job1\hdc_subs.idx exists! I will post report when I will be at home, now I am in trip.

FYI. I did not recode the movie again, I just changed the container type to mkv, cleared query, added to query, copied last string (where was mkv muxing command) and ran this command in HDC temp dir and got well muxed mkv with subtitles.

No sound bug

@buzz

I found a bug, I think.

When I am encoding to WMV, if select no audio (under audio, as well as check no sound under audio/subs tab) - the avs script still has the audio commands in it.

Let me know if you need a script or report.

you must select No Audio as audio codec

@rickatnight11
copy libsnd dll from encoder folder to your system32 folder
