I mean at the end of the ecoding using the mkv extension there is no file at all, but if I select the mp4 extension there is a file at the end. Just don't know why mkv doesn't work.
You are using limited account therefore mkvmerge cannot save on C:\ . Save on desktop instead or in another partition.

I have an 5.5G Ipod and cannot import from itunes to ipod a file with level 3.0 (I used the IPOD 1.3 profile and edited the level number )
I can import the same file with the IPOD1.3 profile but my res is limited to 320x240).
I can do it with Videora (level 3.0 and res of 640x480 ) and wanted to know if it was related to http://www.redkawa.com/blog/post.php?t=3820
Videora is using FFmpeg with x264.
I cannot import also successfully with megui.
Thx.

Yes if you will see 6 channels in RipBot

Awesome, thanks a lot.

Your program is the only program that I've found that converts HD .mkv files without a hitch!

Once RipBot finishes task try to find ripbot264tmp directory.
Inside Jobx directory you should see four .cmd files. Open jobx_MuxFiles.cmd in notepad and add pause. Save.

Before executing jobx_MuxFiles.cmd make sure that video.264 and audio.aac is present in RipBot264tmp directory.

I need to know what mkvmerge says. (make a sreenshot)

No need now as for whatever reason it has just worked, strange. I haven't done anything since when I tried it yesterday. Thank you for your input If I get any problems again I will let you know. Thanks for making such a great x264 encoder

Do I need to have a surround sound receiver in order to test if a file I converted with '5.1 CT AAC-LC 320kbps[cbr]' will work on the 360 or PS3? The 360 doesn't play the file and the PS3 tells me that the audio cannot be read, but video plays fine.

Unfortunately you need new receiver with AAC support otherwise PS3 (v2.10) will downmix to stereo (if you unchecked AAC in Audio Settings)

5.1 AAC is not even downmixed on XBOX360

So if I simply have an HDTV(which I'm guessing is Stereo) and no other receiver, and I try to play it on the 360: it won't work at all, and, playing it on the PS3: only video will work?

I have only access to PS3 so I will describe how it works on that console. If I select AAC in audio settings video plays fine but I have no audio (receiver doesn't recognize AAC stream). if AAC is not selected I have only stereo. if you need receiver with AAC support check this http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...82#post1080982

I understand now. 1 channel of the audio works now after I enabled AAC and DTS 5.1.

Where do the mp4 files go on the psp? I tried them in VIDEO, but nothing or do they have to be renamed to the old style naming to work?

What is Normalizing? For the audio. It gives me 3 options, OFF; 100%, 200%. Default is OFF for imported .dts track. Which should I choose?

Did you update your firmware? The latest is 3.80.

Use 100% . 200% was added mainly for PSP users due to low volume on speakers.
