@jdobbs;
Perhaps I misinterpreted a previous post, but is full movie backups to BD5/9, including PiP and secondary audio, supported by standalone players as well as software players?

@jdobbs,

That's because the extras are insignificantly small and are left alone (copied intact). Combined they add up to only about 350MB on that disc. It's supposed to do that. The disc will still be a full backup. It can't do intact file copying on BD-5/9 because the bitrate could be too high for those types of discs.
Great, thanks for the answer.

Do you think the latest BD-R version will address the audio issue I'm having. I'm re-encoding a BD-9 full backup with v0.31.01 right now.

And is there any special settings you can suggest that may solve my audio issue?

I'm trying to use BD-R as "turnkey" with standard settings to fully backup onto a DVD-DL which I know is stating the obvious since that why we are reporting potential bugs here.

For the last backups I've done, BD-R has been fantastic. Just completed the kids "ICE AGE 3" and it was a perfect dupe so I'm pretty confident with my settings -> just want to make sure I haven't missed any small tweaks that can address some of these particular BDs with higher audio and video track complexity in the main movie and extras (PiP,additional tracks, commentary, etc.).

Thanks

I seem to be having the same problem, and I tried moving around the settings in the audio, but still nothing. Does anyone know how we may be able to fix this issue?
Ok, guys. I need some help here. I did a full backup of "Drag Me to Hell" to BD-25 last night and it (both versions) is in perfect sync. You need to give me more details or I can't help you. What O/S are you using? What settings? What region are you in? How about the log and the INF file?

I can only tell you that v0.31.01 addresses audio problems related to MPEG-2 sources with pulldown. I haven't been able to replicate any other reported audio problems, and no one so far is giving me any useful details that might help find what is causing their problems. If I get a disc reported with issues and when I run it everything is fine (especially when I get no details) -- I always have to assume it is caused by "tinkering" and go on to the next problem.

I'm going to pick up a copy of "Monsters vs Aliens" this afternoon and see what it does for me.

I get your point and that's fair. When I complete the BD-9 on M vs. A's (estimate tomorrow morning), I'll let you know if I have better luck producing a BD-9 (fb) using TMT using v0.31. And I'll also post my O/S, Region, settings, INI, inf, and log file.

And thanks for trying to reproduce my problem.

Were you keeping the original audio or reencoding to AC3?

@jdobbs,

Tried turning both on and off at the same time. If I understood you to mean "do not include DTS convert to AC3" and "Do not reencode AC3" for BD-9. And also turning on and off "Keep HD Audio for BD25 encoding" when I tried to re-encode for BD-25 ... for me I couldn't find a setting that made any difference to the output..

I've done M v A to bd-9 full disc and it works fine on a pc with TMT 3. However, it's one of those discs where the audio is unselectable when played on a sony sap.

BD Rebuilder v0.31.01 Audio encode error

When I did Royal Space Force last night I got an audio encode error.

ReencodeAudio() 00075 1801

My setup was not to convert DTS, not reencode AC3 and not keep HD audio. I'm not sure what has happened here so here comes the logs:

Hope this helps if it is a bug.

Edit: One thing I came to think of was that I manually choosed which audio tracks to keep in the "stream" window as my default options didn't apply on this disc. My OS is a freshly installed Win7. I never had any problems before, but yet again it is freshly installed so I could have missed something.

Thanks for providing the Tweaks as hidden options. I tried it and it works well. .
Now my question: If I do 1-pass crf encode, will the tweaks be applied for crf prediction pass as well?
I am asking because I set
TWEAK_PASS_ONE=--me umh --tune film
TWEAK_PASS_TWO=--me umh --tune film
and got an oversize (BD5 movie only) which I never have experienced before. Therefore my question whether the tweaks are applied for the crf prediction pass (actually they should), or if not, if this could be the cause of the oversize?

I see the same oversize issue with TWEAK_PASS_TWO= --me umh --psy-rd 1:0 --direct-auto.

custom size 4555 MB = 4449 MB (4,455,xxx KB) without tweak with tweak 4489 MB (4,596,xxx KB).

I'll try to find another calculation that works consistently with tweak.

If you use CRF, it will use the tweak from TWEAK_PASS_TWO. I might add a TWEAK_CRF=n for the next release.

I made a change to the CRF routine that rounds to the nearest .1 while looping (trying to reduce the number of passes). That's probably what caused the oversize. I'll go change it back.

Maybe im missing it or maybe it's feature request but is there any possibility to make a working bluray with menu. I want to rip all audio streams except one and i want to add one audio stream (cause i want to convert a PCM to DTS).

Hi jdobbs! This was the fix for those Casablanca OOS extras, correct?

If so, I just tried to run it again & two of the problem vids were good on sync (0032 & 0051), but the other two vids (0033 & 0037) were just as OOS as before.

See ya!

I've Done this in Vista and Win7. I just tried it again in win7 with 31.01 and got the same result. I did this as a single pass

Hmmm... , not sure if any rounding to .1 is the cause for the oversize. Here my sequence:
- [18:17:48] Performing CRF Prediction...
- Analyzing 11.00 30.50 25.20 21.60 19.50 18.40 18.00 18.10 18.05 18.08 18.09 [18.09]
The steps are .01 rather than 0.1.

Could someone please tell me what this error means? I just set Windows 7 (yes, authentic student upgrade official release) up on a new machine and didn't encounter this under Vista.

This is also a VC-1 disk and a legitimate rip.
