Blu-Ray burning at 4x

Hope this isn't too OT but I'm using Blu-Ray to backup some of my DVDs:

I used Power2Go 5.5.1.4522a(BD) with Kodak BD-R 25GB 2x with no failures. With Verbatim 25Gb 4x I've had 2 good burns and 2 failures. Kinda hurts @ $6 a disc. My burner is Pioneer BDR-202BK firmware 1.08.

Any recommendations for burning programs for BD-R 25GB @ 4x? (tried Nero 7.5.7.0 but only got bad burns even with Kodak BD-R 2x).

TIA
jb

I dunno P2G, or Nero (ugh!) but you should be using ImgBurn. It will give you a detailed log of your burns so that if they fail, will at least tell you something e.g. whether your drive is capable of the burn speed you've chosen.

That's only good for burning images isn't it, I want to basically burn straight files
