Hi!

Have you tried the capture program built-in to VirtualDub?

yes it gives me an error: Cannot start video compression: The operation is not supported. (error code - 1) i'm sure it's something i'm doing wrong though because while it doesn't display cideo when i do "Test Video Capture (Internal)" the test segment seems ok. so maybe i wille mess with VirtualDub a bit more. Thanks setarip_old.

I use virtualVCR but in plain windows XP and with an Hauppauge HVR1110 card. Anyway I suggest you to give it a try. You can find it at:

http://virtualvcr.sourceforge.net/

Good luck

I'll give them a try. I'll have to also try BeyoundTV and SageTV, recomended in Hauppauge USA site (not mentioned in the UK site). My main problem is, that I use Vista 64 and I have 8GB RAM, and that's the reason WinTV does not work .

Nope, noting works. I guess I'll have to change my TV Tuner. Any recomendations, for something similar. Currently HVR-1300 cought my eye, but offcourse, if there is no MC version of HVR-2200 it'll be better, what do you think?

@ Spidem@n: What's wrong with Hauppauge's own WinTV 2000? I use it with my PVR USB2 all the time. I believe they now have it in 64 bit too.

The problem's not the program. First, you don't have such problems, because you tynner is USB, mine is PCI, and when I put more then 4GB RAM (and use 64 bit OS, so they all work) the tunner won't start. Nothing works, tried changing drivers, tried many programs, but nothing. And WinTV (except it's 6, that I use, because it's the one comming with the drivers) just hangs during splash screen, it's because it can't turn the tunner on. PCI-Express tunners don't have that problem, that's why I'm waiting for one to buy it .
