Well, I think the MPlayer mailing list is the correct place to ask that question...

I don't know the answer, because it's something I never needed. So if it's not said in the manual, you should ask the mplayer devs...

Well for 4.1, I guess you would just add channels=4 to your conf file.

I's an excellent player! I'm adding it to two stickies on another forum. Thank you very much! It's a very great piece of software! And available in several languages also(including mine), what else could anyone ask for!

And hopefully I think it will manage to make disappear all the video playback problems on my sisters' old PC!

/me is converted to mplayer and MPUI.
