why should an avc chip use/support any drm? these two things have nothing to do with each other

Does anyone know which H.264 profile(s) this chip supports? Baseline or Main?

IMHO Baseline is worse than MPEG-4 pt.2 so it would be nice if they've gone all the way to Main.

Cheers

You're right, they have nothing to do with each other... but at the same time, just imagine all those corporate big-head pigs trying to find a way to justify their 20 million dollar mansion
