putting a whole dvd with menus, chapters, subs to DivxMediaFormat with DivxMediaBuilder

Hi everyone!
yesterday me and a friend with a little help from Skype, managed to "understand" how the divxmediabuilder works, this morning i was trying to convert a full dvd to the Divxmediaformat with menus, subs, audio just like the dvd but on the .divx format, the good news are that im able to make it unfortunally the last step i do is to creat chapters and if i try to creat the divx file afterwords it just shows a log file with the following error:
Quote:
time=1156 entryType=GENERAL_ENTRY_TYPE message=Audio's dwLength parameter is incorrect. MediaSource objectId: 7
Audio's rate(16000)/scale(384) != nAvgBytesPerSec(16000). Riff Offset(0x0) MediaSource objectId: 7

time=1156 entryType=GENERAL_ENTRY_TYPE message= validation failure see log for errors: C:\Documents and Settings\Windows XP\Ambiente de trabalho\divxmediabuilder\teste2.log
if i creat the divx without chapters it will creat the file without any error messages.

just wanna thank UserXp for this very nice program!

Thank you

small update:

HI everyone!´

Heres my first complete dvd to divxmerdiaformat video:

rapidshare.de/files/18019549/divxmedia.divx.html

introvideo
transitions betwwen menus
3 audiotracks
6 subtitle streams
chapters

everything was "taken" from the dvd "crouching tigger hidden dragon"

if you get an error message when you get into the subtitles menus, select option "play movie" and select your subs from the internal divxplayer menu.

Ricardouk

The possibilities are endless....

made with DivxMediaBuilder, Cheers UserXp for the tool.

Is this mediabuilder easy to use to make custom Divx DVDs?

Can you just use Divx files you have already?

Thanks for any answers.

thats a bit difficulto answer, im a newbie myself and i didnt find it hard to understand, if you have used dvdlab pro , dvdstyler before i think youll pick it up.

i found it easy but it might be considered hard to understand if you never used programs like the ones i mentioned above.

im using the advanced mode on the program because the easy mode its not yet implemented, you could wait untill its released with the easy mode.

Ok thanks. Is there any kind of guide anywhere at all. I've used DVD-Lab before, but I don't even know where to start with this. All I have are some Divx files.

When I try to create Divx file at the end I keep getting this:

ERROR: DIVX_PARSE_FAILURE_FILE: Linkerfile47.txt

What does that mean?

I'm just using Divx files with one menu and no chapters.

yeah... pretty sure you can't post links like that in this forum. That would be considered copyright infringement, no?

bond or doom9 will surely lock this post... read the rules next time dude...

i used dvdshrink "reauthor mode" to extract the menus from the dvd and then you can use your favourite converter to convert then to divx.

Divxmediabuilder doesnt do this, the user have to do it

have a look at the samples provided by Userxp on his site to have a general idea on what you need to have/extract

Hi,

I created with success a chapters menu. The only problem, and a big one, is that at the end of the process the program has doubled the size of the divx. I don't understand it.

Everything is perfect but instead a 700MB divx I have a 1400MB one.

You have some mistake at one of the buttons. Check them again. Or maybe when you loaded the avi files you used the <create after> wrong.

enjoy,
Mtz

I repeated it three times and I got always doubled size.

I may know where the problem is. When I add the menu I take again the avi for the backgroundVideoID. I guess the program create a menu with the whole avi. So I have the avi in the menu and the avi in the title.

What's the solution? When I add the menu I only have one option for the background: "from avi", so I load the avi. The "from picture" option is not operative.

Use virtualdubmod and cut about 20-30 seconds from the movie and call it for example: "menu.avi". To not work again on the whole project, try to search in the XML file for your "all_movie_menu" and replace the name with "menu.avi".

enjoy,
Mtz
