There used to be an issue with DTS-HD MA using Haali with MKV's created with mkvmerge, but that's since been fixed. Honestly, I don't know what the issue could be. I have 2 Pio's myself, so, if it were a problem with ffdshow I'd have encountered it.

Yeah, I have no idea myself. It is annoying though because the clicking sound circulates around all the speakers and at reference levels it is crazy loud. Hopefully someone else can chime in and have a miracle advice for me.

Try using a player that more people use and don't have trouble with (MPC-HC), and use different filters until you isolate the culprit. LAV Splitter and LAV Audio can be used too to bitstream the HD codecs so you can test with those as well.

I tried using MPC-HC and it is the same result. How/where can I get the LAV splitter and LAV audio?

Try the one from this post http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...22#post1505422 If you prefer installers, go to the first page of that thread.

Guys not sure if this requires its own thread but I read that ffdshow has some bug that defaults speakers to 5.1 even if I set them to 7.1 I am not getting ffdshow audio to convert my 5.1 movies to 7.1 sound so I am looking for some guidance.
Thanks!

ffdshow doesn't do 5.1 to 7.1. You'll have to use DPLIIx in your receiver or in your audio card's settings if it has the option (like on the Xonar cards).

Yeah I decided to just do 5.1 because I am using analog inputs in my receiver in order to get my pc to decode truehd and dts hd (arcsoft decoder) to get the best audio quality I can get.
Thanks though :-)
