VCD to DIVX SBC

Hi there,
I have a 2 CD's VCD film that i'd like to convert to SBC divx holding on 1 CD.
I would like to use gordian knot as it did an amazing job last time, for my DVD->Divx SBC conversion.
I need to be able to open the movie in dvd2avi to make a .d2v project that I can open in gordian. But dvd2avi doesn't open mpeg1 files.
So how am I supposed to do ?
Nandub can directly open the file, but I wouldn't be able to use all the automatic calculation tools of gordian knot ...
thx for the help !

you can do a first pass with nandub manually, then load the stats file into GKnot, analyze, calculate, save stats and ecf. Then load processing settings "Gknot_default", go to the SBC options, choose your stats file with "encode using", choose the ecf in the ecf tab. Then do the second pass with "save as avi".

you could also frameserve to nandub/gknot from virtualdub
